This review will encompass our experience with Vancouver Toyota, Toyota Customer Service and the Dick Hannah dealership. We have a 2012 Toyota Prius that just turned 37k miles and the radio has basically died and it works intermittently at best. Albeit we now realize the manufacturer warranty ended at 36k, it seems coincidental the radio has now become an issue after the warranty expired. We brought the Prius to Vancouver Toyota to troubleshoot and repair if necessary. We told them in the event the manufacturer warranty did not cover the repair/replacement we had an extended warranty. We were told we would be charged $130 for the diagnostic, but if the manufacturer warranty would cover it we would not be charged anything. Then they told us the manufacturer warranty expired at 36k, so we would be responsible for the $130 diagnostic. We were then told they would send it through to the extended warranty people only to be told the warranty was never transferred over to us and they had no way of knowing to whom it belonged previously. Translation, we would be responsible for the repair bill. Then they told us how much it would be, the repair would cost $1100 and did we want to go ahead with it, seriously??? We said no and after paying the $130 only to be told what we already knew “the radio is dead” we left. Vancouver Toyota suggested we call corporate and see if they would do anything since the mileage was over by 1k. We called corporate and explained everything and were told they would not be able to do anything, but they would let Vancouver Toyota know we called. Vancouver Toyota called back and offered a 10% discount. The next experience was with Dick Hannah to see what if anything they would do for us since we purchased the vehicle from them, specifically if they would honor the extended warranty. We called and left a message and never a call back. All of this being said further confirms our dislike of dealerships and their enormous lack of customer service and not doing the right thing and not standing behind their product.. To have a two year old car lose its radio just goes to show the lack of quality anymore and it doesn’t matter what the brand. So in summary, Vancouver Toyota just wants your money and did not demonstrate any culpable amount of trying to resolve the issue. Really, $1100 for a radio when I can go to Car Toys and get a system with back up camera for less than half that. Toyota Corporate seems to not want to stand behind their product either, despite their reputation of making a quality product. Lastly, Dick Hannah apparently just did not have time for us.

Liked my salesman, not a fan of the repair center. Way overpriced. Don't fall victim to their warranties either. I bought a car at 62,000 miles and it didn't have any of the 60,000 mile check ups done. Ended up having to replace a bunch of stuff I should not have had to. Never buying from here again

I just purchased a car from Dick Hannah, and I was lucky enough to have Ian Pearce as my sales person. The last few places I went to look for a car, I felt rushed, and a subtle pressure to buy their cars. Not with Ian, he was very friendly and was only interested in what I wanted. I found the perfect car, it was everything I needed. My car runs like a dream, and I couldn't be happier. Thank you Dick Hannah and thank you Ian Pearce, together you've given me my moneys worth!!!

This review is for the corporate office. One of the worst customer service experiences I have come across. First of all when you walk into the building there are no signs that say they are located on the second floor. But that's ok ("suite 200" is not too difficult to figure out) Then when you come upstairs there are two windows from the lobby area. We came there with my wife to pick up our license plates so decided to check out the "accounting" window. When we came up there was a woman standing with her back to us doing something on the counter. There were a few other women sitting in cubicles about 15 ft away from the counter. So we said hello, and the woman with her back to us turned, looked at us and went back to what she was doing. Then one of the women in the cubicles ask us "what we needed", and the whole time she was just sitting in her seat 15 ft away from us. That's what I call customer freakin service at its best! Ha!! Wish I never had to deal with this stupid corporate office!! P.S. We had the opposite experience at the actual dealership Acura of Portland. Great people there!

I just bought a 2010 Prius from Dick Hannah; I love the Prius, I hate the dealership. I wanted the 2013 Red Prius they have on their web page, but it wasn't 'available'. I don't think the car exists. The salesmen weren't honest and they certainly weren't nice. I won't be going back to Dick Hannah.

Their service was good and the repairs were good. I paid very high prices for very basic work... but i expected it since its a dealership. $150 for one key and over $500 for an alternator... get out your wallet.

Watch out!!! My 2006 TDI Jetta just got out of it's warranty and is at 77,000 miles. We bought the car and Dick Hannah promoted their "Customer for Life" program to us. We followed the rules of the program by bringing our car for scheduled maintenance to their service center. This meant we would get certain perks. All of a sudden these perks ended. I guess we're not their "customers for life."
