I thought I found a great bakery at World Pet Expo. Turns out they're really dog biscuits! I ate 2 of them anyway.

Aww crud. I thought it was a log-splitter. That's the price I pay for trying to submit a serious answer :)

On this week's Giz Wiz Show, OMGChad picks the LifeStraw as one of his 'survival gadgets' and decides to give it try. The LifeStraw has met EPA standards for water filtration and it's supposed to be used to drink water from, well places you would NEVER usually drink water from. As a joke I suggested water from the Petaluma River, which looks gross. Surprise! Producer Jeff Needles DID get water from the Petaluma River and Chad actually drinks some thru his LifeStraw! It's here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XDNvnEUgukM

Nice! Hope you live long enough to sue them if it doesn't do what it is suppose to do. ;)

If ice comes down the Hudson River in giant blocks, these ice breakers are designed to (hopefully) break them up. Captain Ed Bacon said the ice up-river is about 10" thick, so a giant block of ice like that could do damage coming down the river and hitting the docks at more than 7 knots. (8+ mph)

Something not for kids at Toy Fair. You may just want one! (But it's pricey.)

So now I can look like I'm sort of walking down the sidewalk without actually having to move my legs back and forth to walk. What an innovation. I guess buyers of this also like to liquify their food so they don't have to bother chewing. The tech it cool, but...

How tired of snow are New Yorkers. These two photos are basically the same part of the park -- within 200 feet. The 1st one (left side) was shot right after the 1st big snow storm. Riverside  park at about 81st Street is packed. The 2nd one on the right was taken today, March 1st, a Sunday. It's about the same time of day a little after 2 PM and no one is in the park enjoying the snow!

Well, Dick, most art is essentially temporary. Works on an Etch-A-Sketch are may be more than most, though. I knew there was trouble coming when you flipped it over.

Ready for fog-filled bubbles. Here's a kit that lets you make them, and a hint on how to play it easy to play with bubbles without having them break.
