Since my first trip in 2005, after years of only dreaming about it, I knew I needed a way to build Africa adventures into my life. With more than 25 years as
a professional photographer shooting for corporate clients I wanted a change. I decided to combine my experience and love of photography with my passion for Africa’s wildlife and cultures. I made it my mission to give the gift of Africa to as many people as possible and started Capture Africa Tours.

Tours to the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust are trips that Henry Gathura and myself specialize in, and take great pride in delivering the best trip for all of our clients.
We often do extensions to other destinations after DSWT and highly recommend making a visit to Ol Pejeta Conservancy which is located in Central Kenya's Laikipia County.
This conservancy has the largest black rhino population in east Africa with over 100 strong....and heavily protected. It's also famous for protecting the last 3 northern white rhinos on earth. These great animals are protected by armed rangers 24/7.
The Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary is situated within the conservancy and provides a haven for orphaned, abandoned, and rescued chimpanzees.
You will even catch a glimpse of the Grevy's Zebra which is very rare with a population of maybe 2000 in Africa.
Wildlife abounds and one of my favorites is the lion which will never disappoint any of our clients.
If you would like to add Ol Pejeta to your tour this can be arranged for you.
Please get in touch to book your in 2017-2018 tour.

Roughly 39 nights and 40 days in Kenya ended our two back to back tours. The tours were about what the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust is all about, and how their operations run 24/7. We made visits to the nursery in Nairobi, Ithumba Unit and Voi Reintegration facility in Tsavo East National Park. Umani Springs was another destination, and one of my favorite spots for wild elephants...Amboseli National Park, Kenya.

We did photograph two Zebra along the way and felt they needed some recognition before I start flooding Facebook with elephants and other African wildlife.

Capture Africa Tours has a January trip with one spot left that starts January 25-February 6, 2017. Jump on board now or sign up for 6 of our trips in 2017 as well as 2018.

We have a month long tour happening in 2018 starting with our tour to see the mountain gorillas in Rwanda. Fly to Kenya for our David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust Tour, and head south to Botswana to explore the Okavango Delta. One individual has signed up and 5 seats are available.

Last but not least a big thank you to Henry Gathura, Simon Gathai, Michael Muriithi and Joshua Njoroge..aka Denzel Washington, who made our tours a great success. I could not have better business partners, but most of all they have become my close friends...Kudos to all of you and your families!

The soon to be King of Beasts!
Sub-adults begin to resemble adult lions like this one. Males will have a small, Mohawk mane. By age 3 they are fully grown and will soon leave their natural pride. Lions need our help and their numbers are decreasing every year. Estimates are between 20,000-30,000 in the wild. When you see one in the wild you will understand why this apex predator needs to be protected. They are truly amazing!
