Despite extensive research linking lack of oxygen in cancer cells to cancer growth and metastasis, mainstream medical doctors do not recommend hyperbaric oxygen therapy for the treatment of cancer.

“It seems as if a tumor deprived of oxygen would shrink. However, numerous studies have shown that tumor hypoxia, in which portions of the tumor have significantly low oxygen concentrations, is in fact linked with more aggressive tumor behavior and poorer prognosis. It's as if rather than succumbing to gently hypoxic conditions, the lack of oxygen commonly created as a tumor outgrows its blood supply signals a tumor to grow and metastasize in search of new oxygen sources - for example, hypoxic bladder cancers are likely to metastasize to the lungs, which is frequently deadly.”

This is an incredible video showing the healing power of hyperbaric oxygen therapy, even decades after the initial injury.
Veterans can get new treatments after a state law taps a federal reimbursement program.

The Wall Street Journal published a detailed article about altitude sickness but failed to mention the only FDA approved treatment for this oxygen deprivation syndrome, mild HBOT in a portable hyperbaric chamber!

This man has made a remarkable recovery from a severe TBI, thanks to hyperbaric oxygen therapy.

"When I first started, I would come here in a wheelchair and have to be wheeled in and get out to use the chamber," he said. "Then I moved to a walker; then I moved to a cane. It helped my muscles because my muscles are really tense, and it relaxed them.

"When I first started, I had a bad case of insomnia and couldn't sleep," he recalled. "And every time I came here and got done with the chamber I'd go home and fall asleep."  "My memory has gotten a lot better," he added. "Like, I would do something in the morning, by afternoon I'd forget what I'd done. Now I have a pretty good memory."

According to Dr. Matt Holden, the doctor who treated him, “With hyperbaric oxygen, you help the brain grow new blood vessels, and it improves circulation to the part of the brain that is damaged and it helps the brain grow new stem cells that can become new neurons and regenerate lost networks in the brain.
There is new hope for traumatic brain injury sufferers, thanks in part to a local man who refused to give up.

This crossover clinical trial of hyperbaric oxygen therapy for Fibromyalgia provides evidence that HBOT can improve the symptoms and life quality of FMS patients. Moreover, it shows that HBOT can induce neuroplasticity and significantly rectify abnormal brain activity in pain related areas of FMS patients.

According to Dr. Efrati, “The results are of significant importance since, unlike the current treatments offered for fibromyalgia patients, HBOT is not aiming for just symptomatic improvement.  HBOT is aiming for the actual cause - the brain pathology responsible for the syndrome. It means that brain repair, including even neuronal regeneration, is possible even for chronic, long-lasting pain syndromes, and we can and should aim for that in any future treatment development.”
