“The majority of people that suffer a brain injury do get better with HBOT treatments. Israeli, Chinese, American and Russian researchers have shown this effect, repeatedly, for brain injury survivors.”
Xavier A. Figueroa, Ph.D. March is Brain Injury Month and to acknowledge the significance of this event, I’m writing a post that lists the many hopeful and helpful therapies that exist in the medical field for an acquired brain injury. The…Read more →

Autistic child allegedly killed by defective Oxyhealth portable hyperbaric chamber.  “A federal lawsuit alleges a 19-year-old man with autism died of asphyxiation in 2011, when the oxygen valve disconnected from an inflatable chamber his family purchased for their home. The man’s parents, Amy and Robert Sparks, allege in the lawsuit, filed in North Carolina federal court, that OxyHealth LLC of Santa Fe Springs, Calif., marketed the chamber as safe for unsupervised use despite knowing the valves could disconnect.”

According to Dr. Phillip James, "Until oxygen therapy is taught in our medical schools, doctors will continue to be uninformed of the critical importance of oxygen in healing.”

It's great to hear that Steve Weatherford is still using his Healing Dives portable hyperbaric chamber! The year he purchased the chamber, the New York Giants won the Super Bowl.

According to Steve, “It really helps me with recovery so I can train harder longer more often.” His wife states that “He does it every day, at least 1 - 1 ½ hours. Last night, he slept in there.”
ESPN Video: Giants punter Steve Weatherford might have not only the best body on the team, but in the NFL. Rick Reilly details Weatherford's nonstop energy in the gym and everywhere else.

This study proves once again that mild HBOT with room air is an incredibly effective treatment!

“Mild hyperbaric oxygen promotes skeletal muscle regeneration in the early phase after injury, possibly due to reduced hypoxic conditions leading to accelerated macrophage infiltration and phenotype transition. In conclusion, mild hyperbaric oxygen less than 2 atmospheres absolute with normal air is an appropriate support therapy for severe muscle injuries.”

In my favorite quote from his new book, "Oxygen and the Brain", Dr. Phillip James states "We need to use more oxygen in medical practice and especially in the treatment of disorders of the brain.  The allegation that giving more oxygen is alternative medicine is unscientific and absurd:  Illness and injury always reduce the oxygen available to cells and healing only occurs when adequate levels are restored.  It is drugs that are alternative.”

"Since the root of all problems is the lack of oxygen in tumors, a simple solution is to give tumors more oxygen."

Tony Parker of the San Antonio Spurs shows off his hyperbaric chamber.
Until this video, I had not realized that Parker had earned more than $100 million playing basketball.
