...In case you've ever wondered how to take all those paper templates out of English paper piecing. It's super easy!

When I measured the template in the mag it was 1 7/16" point to point. and 1 1/2" width. It just did not make sense you would use those measurements. Thank you for taking the time to reply!

This might just be my favorite English paper piecing pattern of all time! Bravo, Quirky Granola Girl!
I was hoping to post this a couple of days ago, but it turns out that I'm not very tech savvy. Thank goodness I finally pulled it together. Here is the link for the pdf file for the free pattern and some instructions. I have a couple of pictures that I took along the way that I'll post here.

Just sharing a little inspiration today - if you haven't checked out Maryline Collioud-Robert's blog, I highly recommend it. She does some incredible explorations in quilting, and her color sense is divine.
I was tagged by Australian quilter Lois Cleal, from Sidney, to participate in an around the world blog hop. You can read all about her and how she creates here. Before her, Maria Shell, Lisa Call, answered the same questions. J'ai été désignée par la quilteuse australienne Lois Cleal de Sidney, ...

What a pretty way to do hexies! And a nice use for all kinds of prints. Chevrons, plaids, and large-scale florals would all make awesome kaleidoscopes. (Via Geta's Quilting Studio.)

Michele is such a genius. I love that these ornaments are quick to make, AND involve cutting up a plastic table runner.
Hello, my dears!  Today I want to show you these dee-lightfully fancy ornaments. Pretty, eh? What if I told you they cost practically nothing, and took about sixty seconds to make?  Uh-huh, I knew you'd appreciate tha...

I'm all into this website this morning. Plans and instructions for lots of intriguing cardboard models, including these Christmas houses. And links to interesting history.

From the site: "Howard Lamey, in Jacksonville, Florida, has retired from a full-time job in advertising that included designing window displays for a major retailer. Now he has turned those artistic talents to designing and building vintage-style cardboard buildings for his family and friends. Howard graciously agreed to share some of his craft knowledge with readers."
