Today, we are announcing support for Business Associates Agreements (BAAs) in order to handle HIPAA-protected information. This means that we are now able to extend the benefits of Cloud Platform to a range of healthcare applications and technologies. http://goo.gl/3XpZc3

great article indeed. as i've always felt, no one is intrinsically demotivated. put people in a situation where they are in control, they will learn.

Loved this +WIRED.  Very inspiring and reminds you that everyone learns best when they are self-motivated and in control.

Looking good +Jason Karsh (the announcement doesn't suck either ;) ) http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2014/02/chromebox-now-for-simpler-and-better.html
The best meetings are face-to-face—we can brainstorm openly, collaborate closely and make faster decisions. But these days, we often connect with each other from far-flung locations, coordinating time zones and dialing into c...

Super fascinating

This is a fantastic read -- a collection of 40 maps which each explain some aspect of the world, like what sea trade routes looked like in the colonial era, or the languages of Europe as measured by tweets, or what Africa might look like today if it had never been colonized. All sorts of fascinating things in here, and most of the explanations link to even more interesting maps; I'm going to be lost in here for quite a while.
I've searched wide and far for maps that can reveal and surprise and inform in ways that the daily headlines might not.

The Dalai Lama was once asked what surprised him the most.
He responded with, "Man. Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices his money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future. He lives as if he is never going to die, and then he dies having never really lived."

Wow - such an exciting day for computer engineers globally! I used to read about this technology as a Comp Engineering undergrad back in the day. Almost everyone used to rule out its viability. So awesome to see this live!
