There was a bug in OpenSSL ("https") called Heartbleed, and it is alleged that the NSA used this vulnerability for more than 2 years to crack encryption.

Now that I think of it, Dan Brown (in his book, "Digital Fortress") predicted this all along, and even the name of the organisation is the same (NSA).

This made my day. +1 to support.

"Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid."—Albert Einstein.

Artificial muscles developed from inexpensive fishing line and sewing thread.

By intertwining fishing line and sewing thread, a material that changes length based on temperature difference has been developed. Besides allowing the obvious applications of muscles, these can harness natural temperature changes in the environment to do work.

These "muscles" are found to be thinner as well as stronger than human muscles, and can be used in a variety of applications that would otherwise require complicated hydraulic or motor systems, such as artificial prosthetics.

Here is where I read about this (it also contains a link to the original article in the journal Science): http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2014/02/140220141719.htm

Introduction

I'm Dheeraj Dhobley, and I study in New Millennium School. I love Physics, Chemistry and Biology (to some extent), and Science in general, and also computers, table tennis, a game series called Burnout, hand-games (including, but not limited to chopsticks and hand-cricket) and many other things that I can't recall.

I love talking to friends and sharing funny and interesting anecdotes with them.
