This weekend, I devoured (yes, devoured) Attack On Titan. The first season is on Netflix.
First, let me say that I really enjoyed the anime. The art was good, the voices seemed to be done well and the subtitles didn't confuse me.
What I thought was really cool about this is that Attack On Titan really appears to be, to me, a story about humans v. zombies.
Of course, these zombies are tens of meters tall.
One thing that I really think is cool is that, the main character has a way to get all the answers to his questions. He knows (or thinks he knows) that the key given to him by his father will answer all the questions he has, and therefore we have, about the Titans. What they are, why they are, etc. will all be answered when he finally unlocks the place that key goes to.
And yet, he never manages to get there. At least, not in the first season of the Anime. He has to deal with all these strange changes he goes through without the benefit of the answers he knows are out there.
Just thought that was cool.
