We're one week out from launching the Orion spacecraft on it's flight test! Watch the flight test unfold on NASA Television on December 4, 2014.

Orion is in the final stages of preparation for the uncrewed flight test that will take it 3,600 miles above Earth on a 4.5-hour mission to test many of the systems necessary for future human missions into deep space. After two orbits, Orion will reenter Earth’s atmosphere at almost 20,000 miles per hour, and reach temperatures near 4,000 degrees Fahrenheit before its parachute system deploys to slow the spacecraft for a splashdown in the Pacific Ocean.

I don't understand why these courses are not publicly available and free. There's no good reason for them not to be. +Singularity University I ask you to open up the university so it can do its job, and make your information abundant, like I think you know it should be.

Got the website back up and running thanks to Koken. Just going through some of my Midway photos from 4 years ago and this gem stood out.

This is pretty cool. This is what a drag racing tire looks like on take off. Now that is grip! #carlovers #dragracing #tiretech

Awesome classic F1 pic. This is Joachim (not sure about the spelling on that one) Rindt. The only F1 world champion to be crowned posthumously. By all accounts he was wicked fast.

Did you know that the C12's steering wheel in 1993 had only 2 buttons? One for the team radio and one problem button which set a marker in the telemetry data. This Tech Bite shows how our steering wheels evolved since 1993. Watch how buttons and knobs were added or moved and don't miss our related infographic.

Monaco is so close, what a magical setting for F1

Deer Park Heights, +Queenstown NZ , New Zealand.  The wind was really blowing here, so I went for a 15 second exposure to show the softness of the moving grass set against the immovable rock.  I felt this sense of permanence, that this rock has probably stood hundreds or thousands of years here, despite the weather.

Thanks +Trey Ratcliff for getting access to such an amazing venue!

What a fantastic landscape
The Big View... Deer Park Heights, Queenstown New Zealand
Just before sunset was often overlooked, in her estimation.
She often thought of it like a beautiful overture. Not too overbearing, not trying too hard. More like an invitation. One she gratefully accepted.

On our last night in New Zealand, we visited Deer Park Heights. There were many fascinating surprises there... all were delightful. But just the  simplicity of standing on the mountain and soaking it all in made my heart happy. There's just something about mountain tops, isn't there?
