I can't wait to get back to a visit to Natchez and when I do, I will definitely be staying at Devereaux Shields. If the historic South is what you're in town for, then you can't go wrong if you choose to stay here. In my opinion, it is the best part of town to stay in. A beautiful street with several Antebellum homes in walking distance and the property itself is gorgeous. They have lovely gardens, my room was spacious, and Ron & Eleanor are truly gracious hosts. Breakfast is definitely worth the price of admission itself. Southern, hearty and delicious. Hopefully you will stay on a biscuit morning. They are to die for!

It was a hot, sunny day and our two rooms, the Rose Suite, were very comfortably air conditioned, with ceiling fans. The toiletries are luxurious; the hosts gracious and friendly, and the food and ambience terrific. I've been to Natchez before, never stayed there, and am convinced, after staying in Devereaux Shields, that it's worth a two-night layover when staying with Ron and Elinor. Not to be missed, along with lunch at The Carriage House.

Gluten Free breakfast option was most delicious and filling! It's amazing to find hospitality options that know how to be accomodating to this special need. I will only stay here when in Natchez. -Lynnette Molin
