Welcome! I’m Julie Walraven, the Principal and owner of Design Resumes. I started Design Resumes 30+ years ago and launched this website and blog in 2010. As a Certified Master Resume Writer (CMRW), one of only 37 in the world, my career industry peers acknowledged me as one of the industry’s leading experts in strategic resume development.
My blog focuses on the tools and strategies I use when working with my clients. I write on resume strategies, LinkedIn tips, job finding tools and strategies, networking, interview tips, social media in job search, and how to have the right attitude in your job search and career to land great new roles and keep them. As someone who embraces technology, I share innovative ways to use technology to reach your career goals.
As the professional resume writer, LinkedIn Profile creator, and career marketing expert, delivery of client services is deeply personal and interactive. People I work with enjoy collaboration. The live writing process in my office or via Skype or WebEx allows my clients to describe their accomplishments (and if they say they have none, I probe to find them) and together as I write, we refine their resume to distinctly capture what they bring to the marketplace.
Distinctly different from many of my career colleagues, this live writing works well for clients who want to be part of the process and be coached on enhanced job search strategies as we write.
Hours are listed below, but I am flexible. I do offer evening or Saturday hours. I am located in the Central Time Zone but work globally via Skype and WebEx.
