I'm writing this during my first night in the hotel. Not a bad hotel, but is not that great either. I booked the Kids Yuha Suite (king w/bunkbeds) Pros: close to Disney, friendly staff, free parking, free breakfast, kids suite great concept (door closes & have their own TV), fridge & microwave in-room. Cons: OLD,OLD,OLD; furniture very dated, carpet old, TV new but reception bad, hard spring mattress, paint chipping on ceiling, weird smell from whatever they clean with. I booked and prepaid for 5 nights for a dance competition, and that's 5 nights too long. I booked because of the great reviews on Google, one of the few with overall 4+ Star rating in the area. Overlooked major chain because of multuple bad reviews on customer service, but if i had to do all over again i would go with a major chain hotel. You only really deal with front desk during check-in. Back in the 80's or early 90's, this hotel would've been great. But now, if you don't mind the dated feel, then this is a good hotel at best. I just prefer a more modern hotel.

There are certainly pros to this hotel. 1) A great selection of free breakfast items. My son really loved picking out what he wanted each morning. 2) Free Parking. 3) Super close proximity to Disneyland. You can really walk there pretty quickly - I even did this at 8 months pregnant - although I think next time a hotel with a shuttle would be worth any additional expense. 4) There is a coffee bean and a Walgreens right across the street which is SUPER convenient - especially if you have children and need to have an emergency prescription sent over - like we did. The cons however are the reasons I will not book here again. 1) They do not clean the rooms very well. We found a pair of underwear, a brush and a glowstick from previous guests. 2) The beds had urine stains and smelled. My son would not even sleep in them. (We had the king room with a separate bunk bed room) 3) The beds were EXTREMELY uncomfortable. It was very similar to sleeping on the floor. We had to sleep on the pillows. You will NOT be comfortable in the bed. Pregnant women, DO NOT reserve here. 4) When I went to check in, I stood at the front desk for 5 or more minutes before any one came out to assist me. After driving 23 hours, this was definitely not the warm welcome I would have hoped for. I booked here for the price, free parking and free breakfast and the close proximity to Disney. Next time, I would pay a little more to have a more comfortable room and a hotel with shuttle service. (I'd also recommend a place with free breakfast because Disneyland has seriously outrageously priced meals). Let's face it, after spending all day at Disneyland, on your feet, you NEED a comfortable bed to relax in. This hotel will not provide that for you.

Love this hotel stayed many times the breakfast is good and the rooms are nice. Very easy walk disneyland from the hotel one of the best things about this hotel. Only problem now they have made the price higher after doing all the upgrades over the last 5 years.

Pros: Close to Disneyland and convention center. Cons: Paper thin walls, you can hear kids screaming and running around all day and the water pipes make a bunch of noise anytime someone uses a toilet or sink. There is no way to open the windows so the ventilation in the room is horrible, it's always humid, and feels moldy. The carpet is filthy with stains and a wierd smell. There are no blackout curtains and the light comes in easily through the shutters. There is constant noise from the cars outside. The air conditioner and refrigerator add even more noise to the already noisy room making it really difficult to get any good sleep. I got charged a smoking fee in the room even though I did not smoke in it. When I called to ask about it, it was impossible to speak with a manager because they were always "in a meeting" or "stepped out for the day" even if you call at 1:00 PM. It took over a week to finally talk to someone about it. They have the worst customer service here, the managers really don't care about customers and would rather lose their business than try to fix a problem.

This hotel was ABSOLUTELY the best!! I give this hotel 5 stars!!! We had an issue with making reservation on wrong day but Jennifer the receptionist was so helpful in getting us a room that night as me and my family were exhausted from our trip! We did what she told us to do and they got everything cleared with kayak's help as well!! We had made reservation for a standard room but they gave us a suite with a crib for my daughter! No hotel has ever offered a crib to us before and I thought that was just so awesome she offered! I was finally going to get a good night's rest with having a 5 month old and 2 yr old! Desert Palms and with the amazing help of Jennifer made the end of our trip that much more awesome! It was definitely the cherry on top!! Thank you Desert Palms and Jennifer!!! GOD BLESS!

The two room suite with a king and two bunk beds worked well for our family of five. The second room with the bunk bed also had a pull-out couch bed. We tried the ART (Anaheim Resort Transportation) but that turned out to be a horrible experience. We had bought the ticket at the hotel and since we weren't able to use it they applied the amount toward our room. It's only about a 10-15 minute walk to the gates of Disneyland/DCA with kids in tow so we went with that. The full breakfast at the hotel was perfect and included lots of different food which is good for my kids since they all have different tastes. My kids also loved the pool. The staff was very polite and helpful. The negative that bothered me the most was that the wifi was pretty flaky. Speeds were slow, or at times the connection would drop completely. This wasn't just me; everyone in our room had problems. If this were to be addressed, my rating would be five stars. All in all we liked it here and will be coming back. In fact we're going back in just a couple of months, this time with more family, and everyone will be staying here.

Great value. Reasonable walk to the Disney parks. Breakfast is decent; waffles, eggs, sausage, potatoes, oatmeal, cereal, etc. Rooms were fairly comfortable and clean. They could use more sound-proofing on the street side, but that didn't really matter much when we were so worn out after a day at the parks. I wouldn't want to stay at the hotel all day, but we will likely stay here again for our next Disney trip. The amenities and conveniences were worth the cost.

Convenience... the best word to describe the Desert Palms Inn. After ten hours at the parks in 95 degree weather the nicest part of the evening was walking the last very short stretch ,back to the hotel, before the relaxation could continue in the pool, which was perfectly shaded from the sun. The trip was fantastic and the hotel was honestly the CLEANEST hotel I've ever been in, let alone was able to truly enjoy the accommodations. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Save the hassle on vacation, book with the Desert Palms Inn.
