I fully agree with my friend +Thomas Tenkely. YouTube is hurting themselves by limiting live mobile broadcasts to channels with 1,000 minimum subscribers.

+YouTube and +YouTube Creators are chasing people away with these unnecessary restrictions. The death of YouTube will not be fought with original programming or ads.. it will come from restricting access to features and functions that users can get elsewhere. Periscope, Facebook Live, Twitter, and more... Why do you NEED YouTube?

I've wanted to use YouTube Live for short, mobile tech related broadcasting for a while now. I'm slowly losing interest. Plus, I don't have a lot of YouTube content, so I do not have the appropriate amount of subscribers to even think about getting back into the mobile content business.

That said, if you want to help a guy out, feel free to subscribe to my channel that will one day hopefully contain live mobile focused broadcasts: www.youtube.com/derekmross.
