Google Selling Unlocked GSM Galaxy Nexus for $399

Google rejoins the mobile hardware business after nearly a 2 year hiatus. We knew this day was coming, however, it was rumored to only be tablets. The unlocked Galaxy Nexus comes at a low $399 price without contract and comes with a special $10 Google Wallet credit!

Congrats GSM customers still looking to purchase a Nexus phone.

First available in the U.S., Galaxy Nexus costs $399 and arrives at your door unlocked, without a carrier commitment or contract. You can use it on the GSM network of your choice, including T-Mobile and AT&T. It also comes pre-installed with the Google Wallet app which lets you easily make purchases and redeem offers with a tap of your phone. Best of all, we'll give you a $10 credit to get you started with your new mobile wallet.

My month with the phone is worth the extra $130 I paid. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Awesome news! I love the reasonable prices they put out there. Looking forward to more phones and tablets.
I happen to live in one of only 30 markets (so far) where AT&T has rolled out LTE. The unlocked GSM version of the Nexus seems to only have support for HSPA+. Does anyone know if there any chance that AT&T may be getting an LTE version of the Nexus?
Thanks +Derek Ross. I heard about the GSM model going through FCC approval back in February from a few sources (yourself included) but I don't think it was ever specified if it would be LTE? Do you know if that is the case?
+David Quesada most places would let you return the phone within 30 days. Check the return policy, or maybe a price matching program. I know it's a hassle, but it's a hassle that could save you $300, Good luck.
He is in Costa Rica anyways. This deal is for the US.
I ordered one t this morning!
Derek, what are the best navigation programs for this phone, something that will work both in the USA and also in India? Hopefully it will have the same capabilities as Nokia Maps.
Will Google release the next Nexus in India atleast :-(
