Very glad to have Tom Didier and Cathy Hawks supporting my campaign for clerk - they did a great job with the ad. Let me know what you think of it when you get a chance to listen!

Our first radio ad hit the airwaves this morning - listen for it on WOWO or if you can't wait just go to our website and listen to it now!
The campaign launched its first ad, featuring the voices of Republican leaders Tom Didier and Cathy Hawks endorsing Pillie's campaign for city clerk.

My first video blog... please let me know what you think!

My first video blog! Lessons learned from having the courage to get out of bed rather than wallow in frustration.
I've wanted to take a stab at video blogging for a long time, and finally came across a good story to get my start. A little window into my life.

Interesting integration of growing awareness about a social platform with corporate responsibility! http://digiday.com/brands/mry-now-accepting-brand-rfps-snapchat/ h/t MRY's +David Berkowitz
Brands are confused when it comes to messaging apps. MRY is hoping to educate by letting them submit RFPs through Snapchat.

The Free State Movement is in the news again... here's my take on a Midwest alternative for Libertarians!

Libertarians considering moving to New Hampshire to support the Free State Project but don't want to move to the East Coast should consider Gary, Indiana http://buff.ly/1A1Fvns
Libertarians are pursuing the Free State Project in New Hampshire, but there is a Midwest option in Gary, Indiana that could benefit them and the community.

Here's a post I wrote yesterday about my team +Queens Park Rangers FC and their current position ahead of a big match today!

I just posted my thoughts about my confidence despite +Queens Park Rangers FC's  position going into an important match this weekend. http://buff.ly/1yqK638
My favorite soccer team is QPR, or Queen's Park Rangers. Right now they're in the bottom of the standings, but I know they're going to pull through!

Glad to share some great writing from an inspiring figure. St. Francis Xavier was a remarkable man!

We celebrate one of my favorite saints tomorrow. St. Francis Xavier's words are truly inspiring to me. http://buff.ly/1tIfWlN #catholic
This week the Catholic Church celebrates a saint whose call to service to spread the Word of God to those who have not heard it is downright inspiring.

This week is the start of Advent, a beautiful season that I think is not really appreciated in its own right. A look at this Sunday's Scripture readings helps set the tone for a beautiful season of preparation.

Reflecting on the Scriptures for the start of this Advent season and how they contrast with popular culture's celebration with the buildup to Christmas. http://www.derekpillie.com/2014/11/looking-ahead-liturgical-new-year/
Advent kicks off the liturgical new year, but too often we look at it as a time of celebration instead of preparation, as today's readings instruct us.

Great food, great service. I had the American Sub, which is pretty close to a typical Philly-area hoagie but really loaded with meat. Be prepared to get stuffed. I just had chips and a pop but my travel companions all had hot sandwiches and everyone enjoyed their meals. It wasn't too busy but we were dining just after the lunch rush and I understand that they're usually pretty busy during peak hours. Only complaints would be finding a place to park when its busy and that the menu is almost too overwhelming - there are many different dishes to choose from here. Would definitely recommend this place to friends.
