Portage Valley Glacier Lake

In Alaska, there is a place called Portage Valley Glacier Lake, or sometimes just called Portage Valley. It sets about 70 miles south of Anchorage on Seward Hyway. Right around June is the best time for images like this, because of the atmosphere around the lake and cold weather that glaciers make. This image was taken early in the morning. Turned out better than I could have imagined.

In the original draft scripts of the movie that would become Star Wars, the term "Stardestroyer" refers to two-man fighters flown by what would become the Galactic Empire in later drafts. Industrial Light & Magic (ILM) built a 91-centimeter (36 in) shooting model of the ship for A New Hope. ILM built another model measuring 259 centimeters (102 in), equipped with internal lighting to provide a better sense of scale, for The Empire Strikes Back

Well I really screwed up but I don't have 3 and a half hours in me to render this again. I forgot to set up the composite nodes first so there is no compositing in this image, sad thing to since it looks so much better composited but apparently blender is only able to show me a preview once I've rendered the image first, a full res preview /)_-

Either way I hope you like how it came out anyway. Eventually I'll be getting a few macro shots of the more detailed areas anyway. Maybe I'll make a 1080p video. But no more of this 3200x6400 madness!

This is my main grocery store, know every employee, they make sure you don't have bruised produce, and are fast and friendly. The prices are way low and the food is better than name brand food, there was even an article saying how good the food is. People are crazy that don't shop here, they're even bringing in organic food, they are adding extra lanes soon. Their cheese is much better than Walmart's great value brand, they have excellent pies too. The one thing they need to change is their meat selection it's a little limited and not always the best, much fresher than family fresh but super Walmart is my meat store. They could use a few more seasonings like curry or thyme but that's treader joe's job (another part of aldi)

The price is ok, and the employees are upbeat, but other than that below average. The buffet is somewhat cold and are lacking in seasoning, the selection is ok but not very large. The sushi is the worst I'v ever had. Pasty, dried out, and room temperature, with only about 4-8 choices. My brother and a couple of friends have gotten sick after eating there and I have once. Overall I wish there was another chinese buffet close by, but making at home is a lot better, even making from a box, can, or frozen bag is better. If I had to go there again I would eat the sesame balls, and mussels, and probably some compow chicken, but I wouldn't even look at the sushi.
