If your PWA (as "officially" defined in these pages) at, say, example.com uses OAuth for authentication, and with a typical redirect URI of, say, example.com/oauth/google, and your app gets added to the Home Screen, then your OAuth flow will be broken. Even if you are trying to login into the PWA site from the Chrome browser, the resulting undesirable behavior is that the redirect URI is made to open up in the Home Screen app. Unfortunately, the "scope" property in the manifest is not "rich" enough (yet?) to let you specify a scope as well as some exceptions to that scope. So I have commented out my Service Worker registration. I can still Add to Home Screen and everything with OAuth works perfectly as before, but ... without all the promoted niceties of full PWA certification ;-).

Upgraded to iOS 9 yesterday and encountered the apple-mobile-web-app-status-bar-style/black-translucent "bug" (maybe it was intentionally removed, you know, .l. ) on a web app I'm developing. Everything was fine before that. I found this article while searching for information on the issue.

From now on it's +WebDriver, Appium, WD, Grunt, and +Sauce Labs for all my Web UI testing. Is this the "secret sauce"?

I'm very excited about my new web UI Testing extraterrestrial robot. His name is DalekJS, and you can meet him over at http://dalekjs.com. Thanks to +Sebastian Golasch for starting this project. It's in the preview stage, but quite useful already. Go give it a whirl.
