Google "Auto-awesomed" the snow-globe snow into this otherwise plenty snowy picture.  The snow fort ended up about twice this big, after Carter, my Dad, and I worked on it for another 20 minutes, but it was kind of dark for pictures by then.

Dancing, Grill, Bar.  The neon hasn't worked since I was a kid.  I hesitate to call it the VFW hall, but it is the local VFW meeting place.  I brought the beer and enjoyed the pie and music someone else made.

At least a microprocessor-controlled battery desulfator. Maybe six of them for the six batteries in our neighborhood EV (which are pretty old and which we let discharge and sit). After fooling around with 555s and replacing parts every time I want to tweak the pulse widths or frequency, I'm sticking with an $0.85 cent computer to control them.

It's a fixture in downtown Moscow, same place for at least 20 years. It's the only full-service hobby store (model airplanes, trains, cars, etc.) in town, and they have a nice selection of durable toys.

Note the plethora of fake positive reviews here. Check out yelp for the real story, which is not good. They work on commission and take advantage of less mechanically knowledgeable drivers.

Went in on a snowy Saturday afternoon figuring I'd have to order the slightly weird-sized snow tires I wanted for my Mazda MPV and come back in a week or so. They didn't have them in the store, but they sent someone 35 miles or so to Clarkston, called me back in in an hour, and started installing. Partway through the install, the service manager showed me that they'd had a mis-ship, and that the tread pattern on one of the tires wouldn't match, but he'd send me home with the four tires they had so I could get traction today, and replace the "wrong" one when they open on Monday. He could have just let me go home with the slightly different tires, and I'd probably never know the difference, but a shop that can admit and fix a (minor) mistake is a shop I'll come back to again. [Update -- they installed the fourth tire as promised, in about 20 minutes.]

This branch was apparently sold to Washington Federal or some other bank. It is NOT a Bank of America Branch, although they have the same phone number and location. Google's Street View picture is out of date as of January 2014. Also, I'm still mad at Bank of America for buying my bank (Seafirst) and ruining it.
