A beautiful Afghan Hound was jumping after bubbles and I loved the way her coat flew around her like the hair of a super model. She was having so much fun but she was so elegant at the same time. I wanted to capture the feeling of her flying hair. #art   #artist   #watercolour #doglovers #afghan

A pair of boxing hares leaping through the grass. A real sign that spring is on it's way. Hare courtship involves boxing, and is usually reluctant females fending off amorous males. In this painting she's giving him a smack in the eye to cool his ardour. Boxing Hares in watercolour ...

Introduction

I am an artist living in London, and I paint mainly animals, with the odd landscapes and abstract in acrylics and oils.

My web site  http://www.deniselaurent.co.uk has a selection of my paintings and the animal art blog.

I also have a site just for the cat paintings, The Painted Cat. And one for the dog paintings,  The Painted Dog.

We had the Long Smoke, slow cooked smoked pork belly, with crisp anise crackling, sichuan pepper chutney style and a fabulous pecan coleslaw and pickle. It was melt in the mouth delicious! The red wine was good and we finished up with the best lime pie ever. So amazingly good we had to take another portion home with us for the following day, just to make sure it was as good as we thought. It was. Loaded with lime and light as a feather. We'll be back!

Wow! Just popped in for a coffee and had the soughdough cherry toast and homemade buttter as well. Soooo tasty! The salads, tapas and lentil stew all looked wonderful too, although we didn't try them. But we'll be back. This will be a regular stop from now on.

We had the red bean starter which was totally divine and worth the trip all on its own. But the two pork dishes we had as mains were very over done, the pork was hard, and very dry and neither of us could finish it, although the potatos were lovely. The wine was nice. I'd go back for the red beans, they were wonderful.

Fabulous food! We've been here many times. The food is wonderful, so full of flavour! Their portion size is quite large so you are likely to eat a lot, and the staff are very friendly. One of my favourite places to eat. We have several Spanish places in this area and this is the best. Highly recommended.
