We just announced Google Hands Free - a new way to pay in stores without taking out your phone or wallet! Just say, "I'll pay with Google!"

We're inviting folks in the Bay Area to help us test at select McDonald's, Papa John's and local businesses in the South Bay. Everyone gets $5 off their first Hands Free transaction.

I couldn't be prouder of my team who has been incubating this under covers for a while. It's been a tremendous experience bringing together proximity technology, visual identification, merchant integration and more to create a super simple user experience.

Let me know what you think!

1) Google Pay needs better penetration outside the US, 2) 'paying with Google'? You seriously need more catchy name for that, 3) I like making conscious decision during payment, like with NFC technology.

Such a cute poster but Disney would have to buy DC Comics as well to actually ship this poster without copyright violations!

Had a request for a DC Trinity Poster so I 'knocked' this up :)
Can't see it being made somehow lol

The Canadians are quite creative. The concrete factory at Granville Island got turned into an art space.

Wow, they serve Humboldt squid and chips in Canada?

Aren't these the jumbo, human attacking squids?

Wow! This is why people in the Pacific Northwest endure rain all winter!

Spring is in the air

Yesterday after work, +Nicole S. Young, +Brian Bonham and I traveled out to Rowena Crest to photograph the wild flowers and sunset on what was a really mild day. What is funny (to me at least) is that this location marked my first shoot since returning back to Portland and it was also my last shoot before moving away to California a year ago.

I also finally had the opportunity to put my untouched +Formatt-Hitech Lucroit filters to use on my Canon TS-E 17mm lens. They worked like a champ and I can't wait to hit some waterfalls to get even more long exposure action with them. This particular photo is a seven exposure tone-mapped HDR image that was stylized using Nik Analog Efex Pro and Lightroom 5. All I know is that it feels really good to be shooting and editing again in the Pacific NW!

The ambiance totally lives up to its reputation. Sunset was absolutely gorgeous. Restaurant was kid friendly too - they gave my kids 2 stuffed humu toys and fish food to feed the fishies in the pond. The food was quite good. Better than expected. Had the seared ahi with pho broth which was recommended by our host. The broth was very yummy.
