Sullivan's Reef

It is swell in the swells
To live in a shell
Curled up and coiled inside
But it’s dark in the deep
Where mermaids sleep
Not a night-light below the tides
How do they know
When to get up and go
Catch waves in the morning light
It helps to have friends
With loud flippin’ fins
And a clownish face to delight
