So I've currently got six invites to Keybase.io. Is anyone interested in giving it a try?

Was out hacking the Ingress portals near work on Sunday when I heard someone gobbling behind me.

If a techy person of this generation is actually calling you on a phone (as in, not sending a Hangout, iMessage, Facebook message, or even SMS) and it is not a holiday, then it's probably something very important and you should answer the call. The importance is increased exponentially if they call multiple times or go so far as to leave a voicemail.

I loathe making phone calls for any reason. But if I do, it's either damned important, or part of my job and still damned important (e.g., calling an on-call third-tier tech at 03:00 because shit's broke at the nuclear power plant, yo).

Sometimes Google's text-to-speech baffles me.

Ask Google Now "what's the time in Tokyo" and it pronounces "Japan" as "Jay-pin". Ask it "what country is Tokyo in" and it pronounces "Japan" correctly.

And forget about trying to get it to pronounce Mather, Zinfandel, or Placerville correctly.

Introduction
I'm the guy who apparently is known for starting a site called Goo.im a few years ago. I love technology, and spend far too much time tinkering, fiddling, or just reading about Android. Unfortunately that leaves hardly any time between work, classes, and just enough sleep to stave off insanity for another day.

Absolutely terrible. The staff don't care about you and the place looks like a train wreck. It was literally faster for me to drive down to San Jose and go through the ER at Good Samaritan (triage, wait, see a doc, and be discharged) than it was to just see a triage nurse at Sutter General. Completely unacceptable.

An excellent cafe, great food, and excellent service. A wonderful place to sit down and enjoy a meal.

Signs everywhere that say they're open 24/7, yet they never are on weeknights between 3-5 AM.

Not knowledgeable in the culture, definitely not a real Japanese restaurant by any means. The food's ok for the price, but definitely not the place for an authentic sushi experience. The screaming kids don't help.
