Ok, so here is a fun question for everyone on this hump day.

Even the most experienced agent started at the beginning – not knowing what a hybrid campaign is, how to structure an account or in some cases where to set up the account. Now – think back and try to remember of a few things that you look back at now and go – “what the hell was I thinking” or laugh at yourself for just not getting it. For me I have a few stupid moments…

Broad match mod…
For a little while I just didn’t understand what the big hype was with broad match mod and I was very adamantly using phrase match instead. Yes, I had my light bulb moment after a short time.

Account structuring…
I remember someone telling me in the beginning to just create a campaign, create an ad group, write one add and throw some keywords in there… now just bid enough to be in position 1,2 or 3. If you didn’t get clicks or conversions, all you had to do was bid more. Wow – having the right mentor definitely makes a difference.

Keywords in Display URL
Haha, this one I must say I still struggle with and you know – it’s not because I don’t like it or use it (cause I do and I tell everyone to do it also) – but, I really did get a client who told me that when they went to the URL it didn’t work and they thought I was incompetent. So yes, the client wanted to avoid paying for a click, but wanted to see the landing page and copy, paste – hmmm angry client.

Negative keywords…
Didn’t know it existed – yeah, enough said.

I want to re-iterate, this was at the very beginning of my Google AdWords career and I cannot be held liable for mistakes made then. Saying that – making mistakes is the best way to learn. So here is my tip – when you test something - always do it in a controlled environment and don’t forget about it.

Very Nice! Interface is off course very different so it will take a little time to get used to it, but now you can access your accounts from anywhere at any time #alwayson

Introduction
