Gun Sights: Zeroing Targets and Sighting in Scopes

Zeroing is when you simply align your rifle’s sights for better accuracy. This is not magic to manipulate your rifle or your bullet to fly perfectly where you want it to, it’s basically adjusting your rifle to help you with your aim. Most rifles and handguns come with sights that are designed for you to align with your target for better accuracy. Basic iron sights sit atop your rifle and when you look down the barrel, you should align your rear sight to your front sight and the better and more consistent you do this, the better you accuracy should be.

All About the AR 15 Rifle

Let’s be clear. The simple answer is NO, the AR 15 is not an assault rifle. Most of the confusion probably stems from the fact that the AR 15 looks very similar to the military’s M4 and M16 carbine assault rifles. The fact is, the M4 and M16 are capable of fully automatic fire as well as firing three round bursts, an AR 15 is not. The AR is a gas powered semi-automatic rifle, which means, one squeeze of the trigger equals one bullet exits the barrel, period.

Gear Review: Alien Gear Cloak Mod OWB Holster

In one simple sentence, we the people have been given the right to openly carry a handgun (at least in 45 freedom loving states in the Union).

Best Ways To Carry Your Handgun

Over 20 years ago when I first decided to begin carrying a firearm I had plenty of pre-conceived notions on what that would “look” like. Over time I have learned certain truths about the average civilian carrying, both Open Carry (OC) and Concealed Carry (CC). Normally, someone might start with why they choose to carry in the first place, but, one of the greatest lessons I learned came after making that decision. While I will touch on things to consider before deciding to carry in the future; what I tell you today will be helpful on many levels and not just with carrying a firearm.
