Fireworks are not confined to Earthly skies. The Hubble Space Telescope witnessed a spectacular fireworks display in a small, nearby galaxy that resembled a July 4th skyrocket. This firestorm of star birth lit up one end of dwarf galaxy Kiso 5639, which is shaped like a flattened pancake, but because it is tilted edge-on, it resembles a skyrocket, with a brilliant blazing head and a long, star-studded tail. This video from Real Engineering says two 16 meter kites can generate 500 kW

But: When the wind dies down how long does it take to re-launch the kites? Are there locations where the wind speed is reliable enough to sustain the kite for an entire day?

Kite based wind power.

1. An entire unit can fit on a single truck.
2. A unit can be set up in a single day.
3. Can operate in hurricane force winds.
4. Can be deployed at higher altitudes than tower based turbines.
