Textbooks CAN BE affordable. I compared a list of textbooks a friends college freshman daughter is using this semester, and she could have saved $700 if she had rented instead of buying in the campus bookstore!
I recall my Freshman year of college like it was yesterday. I remember how excited I was that first time on campus, registering for classes, meeting new friends, pledging my sorority, and then…..going...

6. If you can't get any meaningful concessions from your credit card issuers, make an appointment with a credit counseling agency affiliated with the National Foundation for Credit Counseling. You might qualify for a Debt Management Plan. If you do, your interest rates and minimum payments will drop, your accounts will be re-aged (if you're overdue), and you'll be on track to pay off all your credit card debt with as few $ as possible.
