This article goes deeper than the usual "mobile and video" comments you hear in prediction posts, great read because of it.  Agree with the author's comments about martech and push marketing, but then I always thought it was about push marketing!
Each year I select digital trends and developments which I believe will shape the industry and digital marketing planning and thinking.

..."digital video is exploding. Already the youngest millennials are watching more digital video than TV.
In fact, it has now overtaken social media as their top online activity."

VERY very interesting video, worth watching.
YouTube's Robert Kyncl gave the keynote speech at ‪#‎CES2016‬, and delivered the kind of strategic insight, critical data, tactical advice, and latest trends in the digital video marketing business that will give you a colossal return on that investment. We have the full unmissable transcript of the speech that you won't want to miss.

Amen to what this article says about sharing TMI!!  Not sure I agree with the "Consider Mobile-Only Website Designs" however, I understand mobile is a big deal but studies suggest people still use their desktops (or secure office/home lines) to make purchases.  I believe utilizing a design good for both is better.

Introduce Yourself  -

My name is Debra Mastaler and I hail from Fairfax Station Virginia!  I've been in the SEO game since 1999 but have recently stepped back to take a breath and regroup.  Right now I'm working part-time for SmallBizTrends.com and reworking some of my core link building and social media services which I plan to launch to the small business community in late January.

I spend a lot of time online in research mode and will do my best to share great content small business owners can use.  Of course I am biased toward Small Business Trends so I'll share a lot of content from there but will also drop links to tools and "how to's" when I find them.

Happy New Year to all!  :)

We're holding up fine here, +Debra Mastaler! I live in the County (near Clayton), so we're just south enough to be avoiding all the rain! Admittedly, I haven't made it out to GF yet and I nor have I seen the Clydesdales—I'm doing STL all wrong! I'll have to make some plans.

I’m Debra Mastaler, President and owner of  Alliance-Link.  Thanks for checking out my Google Plus page.

Alliance-Link has been in business since 2001 and offers content marketing services and link building training to webmasters looking to build a brand and rank well through content, social networks and traditional media outreach.

Links are still a big part of the algorithmic equation search engines use to determine how a page ranks, my services focus on smart and creative ways to build links through creative and residual content.

I also maintain a marketing tool directory and a blog on MarketingTools247.com, as a link builder for hire and a webmaster with multiple properties,  I am constantly on the look-out for new and creative ways to promote my sites. I have had to visit their offices several times with the kids, always spend at least 40 minutes in a crowded, cramped and dark waiting room. The front desk staff is unfriendly and rude, they don't like being asked "how much longer". When you've been waiting 30 minutes past your scheduled appt time, I don't think asking is unreasonable. Receptionist treated me like a child, waved me off and told me to take a seat. Just rude. They changed their online portal and didn't tell anyone, I got a link to open my daughter's account two months after her last appt. Try to email through it, - you get no response. Dr. Day has little personality, she gets the job done but there isn't much interaction with her. She will answer your questions as they pertain to the complaint that brought you in but nothing else. When you're not feeling well, having a dour doctor doesn't help. In December 2014, I brought my daughter in when she had the flu, they assigned me to Dr. Carter. He breezed into the exam room after we had been waiting there for 20 minutes and never apologized for the delay. This on top of the 40 minutes we waited in the waiting room. He looked directly at my daughter the entire time, never acknowledged I was sitting next to her and sent her over for xrays since she had a bad cough. He talked pretty fast without asking us if we needed clarification or anything else. We then waited almost one hour for the xray to be read, went back to Dr. Carter who said there was something on the xray and we should "watch it". Never got a follow up call from him or the practice and it's been two months. Not sure how we are supposed to "watch it"? . I've never been to a medical practice that didn't follow up after a visit, especially when xrays are involved. No one from this practice called after our visit. We are actively looking to leave this practice and find another but it's tough, most practices are not taking new patients. I would not recommend this practice if you want to establish a long-term relationship with your family doctor.
