Long article, which I've skimmed through -- very interesting, if you're a fan of the movie. And who isn't?
Imitation is considered the sincerest form of flattery, but when it comes to parody, that’s a bit more hit-or-miss. This is particularly evident within the parody-film genre, which has been watered down by movie studios looking for ways to cash in on the latest pop culture phenomenon without having

Finally, the snow has melted, and things are sporting in the garden.
This is Sedum, I think -- at least it's growing where that plant was last year.

Weird weather? Blame blob.
Coincidentally, I tried to download a sample Excel file from the Microsoft site yesterday, and got a "blob" error.
Warm water off West Coast caused wild storms on East Coast, not global warming, researchers suggest

Well, I finally figured out why none of the regular Friday night shows are on tv tonight.
The good news is that it will be Friday again tomorrow!

This collection was listed with the Excel books in Amazon today. +John Walkenbach has written the Excel Bible, and this "Jay" is going for the Excel Classics. So far, he's been Shakespeare, Hemingway and Seuss. What's next? Jay Walk?

Very strange, and the "author" or collective, writes about almost any topic. No idea why there are Excel tags on these books.

Speaking of blobs, here is the error message that appeared when I tried to download a file from the MS Excel team's blog.
"BlobNotFound"

Blob has been there since the days when database files and disk space allowed storage of large chunks of unparsed material, when I got serious with Microsoft Access and Borland Paradox. I try not to store stuff this way as the database file grows big and the i/o to structured data is slowed down, I prefer the file system. However it may be useful for enterprise programmers because you can store text data and blob in one record that gets replicated to a farm of SQL Servers.

What is more painful, aside, is how Microsoft has removed online help and you have to tell people to change the Windows Help engine to local disk, getting really old content

We've just started watching Remedy, the Canadian hospital drama.
In it, Genelle Williams plays an ER nurse who is exposed to HIV.

She looks very similar to another Canadian actress, Gloria Reuben, who played an HIV-positive nurse, Jeanie Boulet, on ER, about 15 years ago.

Are the writers fans of the old show?
