On our way to Appenzell Molly got comfortable when we stopped for ice cream. P.S. this is William, my son's feet she is laying between.

This is great. Much easier to find quilting topics on G+ with a community. Thanks +Jeff Rutherford

I have not been able to get much work in on quilts regularly but am trying to do more particularly now that I "should" have more time being unemployed.

So as an introduction to things I do here is my quilt that was my contribution to my local club's show last summer. Hope you enjoy it as it is sort of holiday themed.

Thanks +Jeff Rutherford It is raw edge applique. I was using fabric glue to put down the pieces then machine or handstitch them but in recent projects (not this one) I have been using HeatinBond but in Switzerland it is so expensive I can't use it for larger things like this. The yellow pollen centers are french knot embroidery and as I explained to Tiffiny and Debbie up above the outlines are done with my embroidery attachment from a digitized drawing of the outline of the flowers in the photo. I took the photo too by the way - referenced above.

I haven't posted much recently but thought I would share today's photo of man and dog sharing a winter sunset. I will let you speculate as to who the man is.

Have read here about unfinished projects. Seems to be the downfall of quilters and sewers - start a lot of ideas but get stuck often. This is one such project. I loved the beaded idea when I was doing it. This is a dew covered dandelion photo inspired small wall quilt but got stuck when I finished the beading on how to do the quilting part. But since it is small (notebook paper sized) I figured I could muster enough energy to finish it.

Thanks. Yesi ave a quilt my grandmother made that is spaced out ties of heavy thread like embroidery. I am using it on a bed quilt commission since the client wants a more "puffy" look. Hadn't thought of using it here though - good idea.
