What makes social media relevant is people. But what makes social media work for business is content.

Whether your marketing focus is B2C or B2B, here are 3 emerging trends for social media content that I think are worth acting on in 2016:

1. Influencer Optimize Your Social Filter Bubble
2. Go Long with Social Network Content
3. Right Here, Right Now, Real Time Video

There's a lot more to consider, so what would you add?

Also, this very rare photo of +Ann Handley Instagramming an American flag made up of beer cans is for sale.  I expect at least $1.5 million since, you know, the potato.

Do you live in the Mid-Atlantic or the Upper Midwest? This is a funny, true MUST READ! http://www.unheralded.fish/tag/lori-nitschke/ #blizzard2016   #jonasblizzard
Few things point out the differences between Northeasterners (below Rhode Island) and Upper Midwesterners (above Iowa and Nebraska) more than the winter storm, such as the #snowzilla or #jonasblizzard that has just occurred. For those of us who live in one but grew up in the other, ...

Mixed feelings -- there were some bad experiences, but the definitely wanted to make-up for the problems. We went to Fairfax from MD because they had the color Accord we wanted. They agreed to our price rather easily, but then took over 4 hours to get our car and papers ready to leave. We actually went to lunch and came back. They said they would mail our plates to us so we wouldn't have to drive the 40 miles to get them. The day our temporary plates expired, I called twice asking about our plates. They said they had mailed us a postcard (it came the next day), and then they promised to send our plates that day (a Monday). The next Saturday, we still did not have our plates. I called, twice, again, and found they STILL had our plates. My husband had to drive there to get them afterall, which we could have done before our temporary ones expired!! Update on Fairfax Honda's customer service--I've spoken to the GM, sales manager and service manager, plus others. They were very sincere on making good on the bad service. We now have rear back-up sensors on the car! I will say, it was a close call when they couldn't find the parts. But, parts found, and now I shouldn't back into anything!
