Founder of Living Montessori Now and Bits of Positivity - Montessori educator/writer, former homeschooler, and mother of two adult children
Introduction

I have two blogs: LivingMontessoriNow.com and BitsofPositivity.com. In addition, I'm the cofounder of SpringSnowPublications.com. I also write on the 15th of each month at the collaborative PreKandKSharing.blogspot.com. I'm the author of Montessori at Home or School: How to Teach Grace and Courtesy, published in December 2013

I'm a Montessori writer and former homeschooler with Montessori certification and an MA in Early Childhood Studies. I live in San Diego with Terry, my husband of 39 years.

My 29-year-old son, Will, lives in San Diego. He and his wife, Chea, are skating coaches. Will is also a DJ, and Chea is also a Sport Psychology Consultant. Will has his B.A. in Communications, and Chea has her doctorate in Sports Psychology. In November 2013, Will and Chea made me a very happy first-time grandmother!

My daughter, Christina (now 24), moved to England at age 16 to skate with her ice-dance partner, Mark Hanretty. I lived with Christina in Sheffield, England, for 1 1/2 years until she was old enough to live on her own. I completed my master’s program at Sheffield Hallam University. Except for missing my husband and son, living in England was a great experience!

Christina now has her BA in Performance and Professional Practice and is married to an Englishman, Tom Parkin. Christina and Tom moved to San Diego at the end of 2010. Tom is a golf pro in San Diego, and Chrissy is a fitness specialist, motivational speaker, author, and coach/choreographer.
