6 hours to go, and Digital Manga needs to raise $2.5K to publish Triton by Tezuka, along with Unico and Atomcat. They've got some sweet thank you gifts like silkscreened posters and t-shirts to tempt you to dig a little deeper and give a little more, so why give it a go, why don't you?
We want to publish over 1,500 pages of manga for kids and teens by the great Osamu Tezuka, creator of Astro Boy and Buddha.

The biggest surprise / most intriguing new manga license announcement at Comic-Con? It wasn't from any of the big guys: it was from Picturebox, who announced that they'll be publishing The Passion of Gengoroh Tagame, the first-ever collection (in English) of bara manga.

Bara manga is manga about men loving men, created for gay men. With its focus on manly, muscular men, bara manga has a distinct style compared with yaoi manga, which is boys love manga, usually written by/for female readers.

With Chip Kidd and Anne Ishii spearheading this effort, i know this book is already on my most anticipated list for 2013. see what the buzz is about here:

Desperately in need of remodeling, this Silicon Valley convention center looks like it was built in the 1980's and hasn't changed since then. Every event I've attended in this center has been underwhelming. the food, even by overpriced convention center standards, is extremely mediocre. This makes the limited dining options nearby the convention center even more painful.

Wonderful day enjoying some unusual Italian variatals, a Bordeaux blend, and a classy Chardonnay at their spring pickup party for wine club members. Tucked away in Napa valley amidst much larger and flashier corporate vineyards, Matthiasson offers a bit of family farm charm and a sensible approach to sustainable farming, taking advantage of native plants and natural pest management techniques. It also doesn't hurt that the wines are elegant, food-friendly and delicious. As this is a working farm, it's not normally open to visitors. They do have a wine club and have twice a year pickup parties, though.

Perfectly curated selection of chic, comfortable and flattering clothes & accessories, with a focus on Canadian made brands / sustainable design. Thoughtful, attentive service and casual vibe. I wanted almost too many things! If I lived. In Toronto, I'd be a regular shopper here.

Excellent pancakes, super friendly service. The 70's decor could use a little refresh, but it's an unpretentious, family-friendly place for a hearty breakfast

Lovely view of Napa Valley from atop Spring Mountain + friendly, informative & informal tasting of some award-winning merlot. If you normally turn your nose up at merlot, you'll be pleasantly surprised at what the Richards family's vineyard can produce. Make an appointment, and enjoy a leisurely time in a true family winery setting.

Best Laulau on the island - big chunks of pork and fish, and super tasty taro leaves. My go-to spot after I get off the plane in Honolulu.
