Two People called my radio show Saturday to say they were thankful their parents were dead so they didnt have to see the hate Trump is spewing and how it's hurting our country. And they added that they are afraid for their children if Trump is elected. That is the very real fear some have of President Trump. And they are right to be worried. My new CNN Opinion article. Hope u check it out: http://www.cnn.com/2016/02/01/opinions/fear-of-a-trump-presidency-obeidallah/index.html
Concerns about the possibility of Donald Trump being elected president should worry everyone, writes Dean Obeidallah.

Unbelievably The anti-govt terrorists in Oregon may go free - the sheriff has now offered Bundy and his gang "Safe Passage" out of the state! Do you think he would offer safe passage if it were armed Blacks or Muslims? Of course not. The only safe passage these terrorists should get is into a prison cell. My new Daily Beast article on if they dont put everyone of these right wing guys in prison, we will see even more of these armed anti-govt terrorists doing the same thing! http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2016/01/19/ammon-bundy-and-his-gang-must-go-to-jail.html
They committed sedition. They seized illegal control of federal property. This is not complicated. So why don’t I think they’ll be arrested?

No, they won't get arrested (unfortunately) - that's what happens to people who are white and REALLY ENJOY being white.
It's people like these clowns that make me want to apply for a race change, because they are definitely NOT "my people."

Donald Trump is right! (And I truly hate to say that) Ted Cruz, who was admittedly born in Canada, is not 100% eligible to be President until the US Supreme Court decides the issue. If Cruz were elected Pres and then declared ineligible to Pres it would cause a national crisis. My new The Daily Beast article in which I interview Fordham Law constitutional law professor Thomas Lee who makes it clear Cruz may be ineligible to be president:
http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2016/01/10/hey-supreme-court-please-settle-this-ted-cruz-birther-thing.html
The fact is, we don’t know if Cruz is eligible to be president. The Supreme Court needs to tell us. And one of his rivals needs to ask.

Personally, I think they need to drag Cruz through all of the same crap they did to the President - all of it. Not that it'll happen, for after all, IOKIYAR (It's OK If You're A Republican)...

Yesterday I attended President Obama's first visit to a US mosque during his presidency. It was a powerful and truly emotional event. I found myself fighting tears a few times during the event, but more because of the words of young Muslims at the event. Here's my The Daily Beast on the event and why it was so moving. Hope you check it out. Thanks http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2016/02/04/at-baltimore-mosque-obama-crushes-the-muslim-haters.html
The president’s speech at that Baltimore mosque reassured a nervous population and struck just the right note—we’re Muslim and American.

Conservative Glenn Beck said that if Trump was elected President he would be a "monster" and it would be "gigantic mistake" for the US.  I could not agree more. My new CNN Opinion on why Beck fears Trump as President and why he is right that we all should fear that happening. http://www.cnn.com/2016/01/18/opinions/obeidallah-glenn-beck/index.html
Dean Obeidallah agrees with Glenn Beck that it would be a "gigantic mistake if this country chooses Donald Trump" as its next president.

St Germain I think name rings a bell, a corrupt congress from Rhode Island from 1980"s or late 1970's had that name or something similar.

Just saw a piece that stated the Philly shooter was supposed to be sentenced on fraud charges next week, so any of his "radical" statements were apparently an excuse on his part.

Introduction
Born in the Great State of New Jersey, my comedy comes in large part from my unique background of being the only son of a Palestinian father and a Sicilian mother. Both my parents have provided me with an enormous amount of material, usually unintentionally.

I was a practicing lawyer for several years until the other lawyers I worked with suggested I perform in the New Jersey Bar Association's funniest lawyer show. I am pretty sure that was their way of telling me to find a new career.

I'm a columnist for The Daily Beast and have also written for CNN.com and The Huffington Past.

I co-produced and co-directed the comedy documentary "The Muslims Are Coming!" which uses comedy to challenge misconceptions about Muslims and to build bridges with people of other faiths. The film is now available on Netflix, iTunes, Google Play and many other platforms.

I have appeared on various national and international televisions shows, including Comedy Central's "Axis of Evil Comedy" special and "The Watch List," ABC's "The View," Al Jazeera English, MBC, "Comics Unleashed with Byron Allen," CNN's "American Morning" and "Wolf Blitzer's Reports," Comedy Central's "Tough Crowd," Fox News, NY1, PBS' "Newshour with Jim Lehrer," ABC's "20/20," CNBC's "The Big Idea with Donnie Deutsch," Japan's NHK, CNN International's "Inside the Middle East" and "Your World Today," as well as in numerous sketches on NBC's "Saturday Night Live."

I have written numerous jokes that have appeared on "Saturday Night Live's Weekend Update" segment and CBS's "The Late, Late Show," and frequently write for The Huffington Post and CNN.com.

I have also been featured in numerous newspapers and publications including Time magazine, Newsweek, The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, Vanity Fair (Italy edition), Associated Press, USA Today, AFP, The UK's Guardian, NY Daily News, The NJ Star Ledger and numerous college publications.

I co-produced an Internet show along with Max Brooks for Comedy Central entitled "The Watch List" featuring all Middle-Eastern American performers.

I also perform a stand up show with Jewish comic Scott Blakeman entitled "Stand up for Peace," (www.standupforpeace.com) which uses comedy to bring people together in the hope of fostering peace in the Middle East.

I am the co-founder of the annual NY Arab-American Comedy Festival (www.arabcomedy.org) which will hold its 11th annual Festival in Fall 2014. I am also the Executive Producer of the Amman Stand Up Comedy Festival which took place in December 2008 - this was the first stand up comedy festival ever in Middle East history.  The 3rd annual Festival was held in December 2010.

I perform comedy at colleges across the US and across the Middle East.  Please follow me on Twitter at www.twitter.com/deanofcomedy
