Introduction
I’m an advertising photographer and image maker originally from Australia, now based in Los Angeles.

I'm drawn to storytelling, character and well-crafted, stylized imagery.

I'm attracted to the 'why' of things, the essential ingredients that comprise a story, a brand or a character - those elements below the surface which define the exterior. I enjoy immersing viewers in imagery that takes them into a world outside the ordinary. I'm fascinated by narrative, but find inspiration in the real world where things can be equally, if not more, peculiar. More than anything, I enjoy ideas - but realize that they are nothing without equal part execution.

My wife and I live by the ocean in Santa Monica and I create imagery out of my studio in Venice, California.

Select clients include: American Express, Acer, Diageo, Asics, National Geographic Channel, PWC, Wrangler Workwear.

Super excited to present amongst an awesome group of artists in Montreal in May for Montreal Meets. Honored to be a part of this group, looking forward to meeting my fellow speakers as much as being in Montreal for the first time. There's an amazing cross section of speakers in attendance and more to be announced in the coming weeks...

Any New Yorkers or Montreal-ers out there? Add it to your calendar!

Those of you in San Diego, be sure to check out the '50 People to Watch' article that we shot last month for San Diego Magazine. Such a fun shoot with an interesting behind the scenes twist.

For those of you not in SD - here's a look at the fold-out cover. Unfortunately G+ is butchering the color profile for some reason...

We've been shooting like crazy the last few months - lots of new images coming soon...

The day that Google+ scales to browsers correctly and maximizes use of white space will be the day that more people use it.  G+ you're not far off and FB is not that difficult to outdo...

+Pursuit Happitarian I'm wood also like to know what add-ons to use. The big white unused space drives me mad. +Google just have to look into that.

‘Style’. It’s one of the most talked-about topics in photography but also one of the most difficult to grasp and put into words. Now more than ever, as creative mediums are democratized and we are bombarded with information and imagery, it can be difficult for emerging artists to forge their unique personal style rather than conform to the mainstream...

One of the perks of being a photographer is that we can have the opportunity to meet and photograph some amazing human beings.

If you could have 30 minutes to photograph anyone in the world, who would it be and why?

Fantastic, thoughtful answers! +Karin Nelson that's not boring at all - many people have told me the same thing. To be able to immortalize people we love in a great photograph is a wonderful thing.

Having first been a zoologist before making images, I'm excited to be photographing someone I really admire this evening, Dr. Jane Goodall.

Jane is a British primatologist, ethologist, anthropologist, and UN Messenger of Peace. Considered to be the world's foremost expert on chimpanzees, Goodall is best known for her 45-year study of social and family interactions of wild chimpanzees in Gombe Stream National Park, Tanzania.

If you're interested, check out a fantastic panel discussion between her, Richard Dawkins, David Attenborough and Richard Leakey from a few years ago about the state of the planet and the modern environmental movement.

I admire Dr. Goodall. I watched some of her speeches and am always in awe of how sincere she is.
