A pretty blend of Merlot, cab franc, cab sav. The fruity Merlot is nicely buried under about 14% cab franc. I'll lay down a couple bottles if this, I think.

Positive thing:  You cannot read the license plate.  Good for tickets bad for rescue.  Most people freak when you tell them you don't put water in your radiator in cold country.  "How will my engine work without water?!!" they shout.

Cozy.  I bet it's old world.  Hospitality sure is different there than here too.  In Co a Wine country Inn is an inviting place to stay for a cup-a.  All those snowy days far gone - a good place to stop and reflect maybe sneak a bit of writing in.  Cabins are good for that.  You can even talk out your plot without anyone thinking your on the blink.

If this progresses as so many examples of government malfeasance do there will be some tepid prosecutions... but not much else. Instead of criminal actions, wouldn't it be better to work on systems to identify and care for the children who will live with brain damage for life? #ns

I've been a guest at this hotel frequently over the past 25 years. I select it because of its proximity to the Ogden Theatre and the Fillmore Auditorium. Considering the number of years since its last remodeling that proximity is the only reason I wpouild choose to tay there again.

Tucked into a nondescript retail space that has housed a succession of eateries, Wonderful Bistro offers Chinese cuisine. On my first visit I was happily surprised to see a freshly refurbished interior that avoided the clutter of previous tenants of the space. The glass-topped tables are already decorated for Valentine's Day with pink paper hearts peering up through the glass. The menu is a bit on the large side but offers a satisfying range of entrees, each prepared on order and served in traditional family style platters and plates. Typical entrees range from $12 to $15, and you can get a whole roasted duck for $30. My Szechuan Beef was beautifully perfumed with garlic, the Hot and Sour Soup was well balanced and even managed to make the tofu tasty. Wonderful Bistro's service is low key but timely. Servers are happy to expertly describe each fish and help diners make the right menu choice. If there is a downside it's the lack of a liquor license, but the restaurant has an application pending. The addition of a balanced wine list would complete the dining experience. I'll go back.
