We just had the letters and numbers repainted in the parking lots for the De Anza Flea Market. Sorry it took so long, we had to wait for the construction to finish, approval from the college, and a good opportunity to get the work done. The Presidents' day holiday was just such an opportunity.

This should make things much better for everyone.

Hope to see you on Saturday, March 3rd for the Flea Market and our first official Farmers' Market.

We've just posted a new Flea Market Vendor Area Map up on our website.
It shows the new location for the Info Booth and the solar panels and their posts.

Not much today, a little more staining, some trim, and the soffits. The structure should be done on Monday or Tuesday. Have a great weekend.

Flea Market

The De Anza Flea Market began as a small effort by the students of De Anza College to raise money for the student body over 30 years ago and has grown into an established community event attracting vendors and patrons from throughout the state.  The De Anza Flea Market is still a student enterprise with the De Anza Associated Student Body paying for all of the expenses and gaining approximately $300,000 annually for a variety of programs, services and events at De Anza College.  The De Anza Flea Market contains about 825 vendor stalls and usually sells out very quickly.  If the weather is good the Flea Market will typically draw approximately 15,000 to 20,000 shoppers.

The De Anza market appears to have an excellent reputation, but, my visit was on a wet stormy morning, hence only a 1/3 of the usual vendors.... However, parking is another subject.....parking tickets are given out left right and center, to those unaware of the permit fees.....$45.00 Not worth the visit?
