I know that feeling, I don't even like having my picture taken! But to me you seem like a natural, like having your own show on Food Network or something :) Have a great weekend!

UPDATE 9/2014: I've been contacted multiple times by the owner Michelle. This most recent time we were issued an apology for the rude employee's behavior letting us know she is no longer with the company and that Spencer Pet Rescue and Spencer Kennel have parted ways. While I don't feel like it would be honest to give a 4 or 5 star review, I have updated it to a 3. I'd like to be clear our experience was with the Pet Rescue, but at the time they were operating under the same building with shared employees. We have still taken our business elsewhere but I did want to update this to be fair and wish the "new" Spencer Kennel all the best in their future business endeavors. Original Review: We adopted a puppy here and he's a doll. The adoption fee is reasonable ($150 which includes shots and getting the dog fixed). We were treated just fine on that day but one lady bad mouthed other potential owners left and right saying things like "They're crazy if they think I'm going to let them walk out of here with a pet. They're too young/poor/have kids/etc." which is just unprofessional. When we took our puppy back in for our shots, they couldn't find our paperwork anywhere so they made a post-it note to record his last booster, saying they'd add it to his file when they found it. They gave me a post-it note with the info as well. A few months later, we called to schedule his neutering and they chided us for not doing his booster (obviously they never added the post-it note to his paperwork and thankfully I kept it to show them). They told us to drop him off at 7:30am and pick him up the following day by 7pm. The morning off, I start getting phone calls at 7:05 and 7:10 with a very rude woman snapping at me about why our dog isn't there yet and repeatedly hanging up on me! (My husband was on his way and got there by 7:20...10 minutes earlier than what they'd told us). She called my husband and did the same. Apparently, the staff (much of which is volunteer) mixed up the times and drop off is at 7, pickup at 7:30 but she wouldn't even let my husband explain. She snatched our dog from him and stormed out the door. Does she love animals? Yes, I really believe she does. But she's also incredibly rude and unprofessional and apparently doesn't realize the impact word of mouth can have on a business. It's too bad since we're very loyal customers to business/causes that are kind and professional.
