Dawahflix - Invitation to the Path of Righteousness

Is our purpose in this world, simply to eat, sleep, dress, work, acquire some material gains and enjoy ourselves? Is it our purpose?

Why are we born? What is the object of our existence and what is the wisdom behind the creation of man and this tremendous universe?

Think about that question.

Tie Your Camel - Tie Your Camel Anas (radi Allahu anhu) reported that a person asked Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam), “Should I tie my camel and have Tawakkul (trust in Allah for her protection) or should I leave her untied and have Tawakkul.” Rasul Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) replied, “Tie her and have Tawakkul.” (Hasan) [Jami At-Tirmidhi] Tawakkul means to put in one s best efforts to do what Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) expects one to do and then leave the results to Allah s will. Tawakkul comes from conviction in qada wa qadar, one of the six pillars of eeman: What Allah (subhana wa ta ala) has written for me must come to pass. Tawakkul in Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) includes tawakkul in His provision of rizq. 50,000 years before the creation of the universe, what provisions would come to me were written down in Lawh Mahfuz (The Preserved Tablet). Our test in this world is of the means we choose to earn these provisions. Do we adopt halal means and work seeking the pleasur

I totally agree with this picture. People don't see and realize the obstacles we go through to succeed. Most people will just believe and say that you are lucky.

What I say "the harder and smarter you work the 'luckier' you get".
May Allah Subhana Wa'Ta'Ala bestow his Infinite Mercy, Infinite Grace and Infinite Blessings and Immense Success upon all the Muslim Brothers and Sisters in this world and the Akhira.

Aameen Ya Rab'il Aalameen.

Ten principles for happiness taken from the Qur’an - In eight beautiful verses from Surat Ash-Sharh (Surah 94), Allah says, speaking to His messenger, 1) Did We not expand for you your chest? 2) And We removed from you your burden (sins) 3) Which weighed down your back? 4) And have We not raised high for you your fame? 5) For indeed, with hardship will be ease. 6) Indeed, with hardship will be ease. 7) So when you have finished your duties, devout yourself for worship.  And to your Lord direct all your longing” The first principle of happiness: It is only Allah who can give it. Read verse 1 again. He said, “Did We not expand..” Since happiness is one of His many creations, He gives it to some and deprives others of it. Allah says وَأَنَّهُ هُوَ أَضْحَكَ وَأَبْكَىٰ “He is Who makes people laugh and makes them weep” (Surat AnNajm) Since it’s His possession, beg Him for it. The second principle of happiness: The home of happiness is in the heart. “Did We not expand for you your chest?”. In se

Top 10 tips for a Muslim in an open office environment - In today’s day and age, it is difficult for a Muslim to find a halal job, one that is ethical, clean, but most importantly that offers a halal environment. Most of us, especially those who live in the west, are caught up in open office environments, which are mostly mixed environments with no clear code of interaction between the two sexes. These environments are seldom safe from social dramas, love stories, tensions, and what is now known as “office politics”. The question is, as a Muslim, one who wants to be productive and representative of their religion, how should you face such a situation? The classical answer is to get out of there! And find a halal job with a halal environment, but one can imagine, the repercussions of such an answer on the wider spectrum of the Muslim community. This question has been on my mind as I was recently thrust into an office environment, and realised that things are ‘slightly’ different there than in my usual ‘All-Muslim’ work environm

Origin of Life - The important question here is origin of life because there is no point of talking about species that have changed with time and adjusted to weather conditions, this is not something religion has denied and spoken against. Religion even gives hints about creatures that lived before human, also it talks about ancient people living longer and looking different to us (people of Ad were taller for example). So lets focus on origin of life to debate God. Speaking of the origin of life, Every DNA from the tiny mosquito to a human being has 1000s of complex functional proteins. What are the odds that a functional protein or a minimally complex cell would arise by chance given the available probabilistic resources? When you calculate the seconds since Big Bang (10^16), the number of elementary particles (10^80) and the possible interactions per second (10^43). The total number of events that could have taken place in the observable universe since the origin of the universe would be 10^139. (c

Fine Tuning of the Universe - As I posted before that from the Origin of Universe, we can safely conclude that it has a cause that lies outside time and space. But what is that cause? Is it some other material cause? Or is there an Intelligent Designer, God, behind the creation of the Universe? From the previous blog post DNA as evidence for Intelligence behind the origin of life, we conclude that Intelligence played a role in the origin of first life. Additional evidence in support of the argument that Intelligence played role in origin of life as well as in the origin of the Universe comes from Physics, from the Fine tuning of the Universe. In recent years, scientists have discovered that the initial conditions of the Big Bang were delicately fine tuned or calibrated for the existence of intelligent life. What we know now is that life prohibiting universes are far more probable than life inhabiting universes. This fine tuning is of two sorts. First, when the laws of nature are expressed as mathematical equations

DNA - DNA as evidence for Intelligence behind the origin of Life I recently came across a book, ‘Signature in the Cell – DNA and evidence for Intelligent Design’, in which its author, Dr. Stephen C. Meyer has provided a strong scientific evidence for Intelligence behind the origin of life. In this book, Dr. Meyer explains the problem and its solution as summarized below: In 1953 Watson and Crick discovered the structure of DNA. Later on Francis Crick gave the “sequence hypothesis” according to which the chemical constituents in DNA function like letters in a written language or symbols in a computer code. Just as English letters may convey a particular message depending on their arrangement, so too do certain sequences of chemical bases along the spine of a DNA molecule convey precise instructions for building proteins. Thus, the DNA molecule has the same property of “sequence specificity” that characterizes codes and language. Thus the arrangement of the chemical’s repres

Eid Al-Adha - What to do on the day of Eid Al-Adha In the Name of Allah, Most Merciful and Compassionate. All praise is to Allah, Lord of the Worlds. And the blessings and peace of Allah be upon His Chosen Messenger, the Prophet Muhammad, his family, companions, and followers. Islam has two major holidays, Eid al-Fitr (Post-Fasting Festival) and Eid al-Adha. The word Eid itself is an Arabic word, whose root connotation is ‘that which comes back, time after time, and rejoicing.’ Its particular usage in Islam, for the two major holidays, is because these two days are meant to be days of rejoicing. The Prophet Muhammad (Allah bless him and give him peace) said, “They are days of eating, drinking, and remembrance of God.” [Reported by Bukhari in his Sahih, an authoritative collection of the sayings of the Prophet.] In this same spirit, the Qur’an mentions that, “Jesus, son of Mary, said: ‘O Allah, Lord of us! Send down for us a table spread with food from heaven, that it may be a feast (e
