http://www.davincispainting.com/blog/post/2017/04/02/homeowners-associations-regulations HOA's and Restrictive Ordinances are designed to protect neighborhood property values by enforcing Homeowners to maintain their home and not to deviate in terms of paint colors or architectural changes. Sometimes however, the bureaucracy of the HOA can be a little overwhelming. I’ve heard of stories of homeowners being sued by their HOA simply because they painted their shutters red instead of green.

This Lead Abatement Project involved the permanent removal of previous Lead Based Paint for a Town Home in Washington DC. The removal process includes the stripping of lead paint and its complete elimination from the property. As opposed to Lead Remediation, Lead Abatement is a permanent solution for potential lead hazards. It includes extreme preparation and protection procedures to ensure worker safety.

The Home Owner of this House in Fairfax Virginia (a former Duron Paint Store Manager) wanted to have the interior completely renovated. This included application for the ceilings, walls, closets, and trim. Many of the rooms had wallpaper which required a removal process. In many cases, removing wallpaper can become complicated and extensive drywall repair work and priming is needed. Our Team decided that the utilization of spray application techniques would be the most efficient way to complete the project

This project was completed in early April for an Architect. This could be characterized as a Mcmansion which is very common in Arlington. It is solid brick with cedar siding located on high level dormers. We performed the standard power washing and preparation. The dormers required the use of a 40 ft ladder.

When spring time brings upon mild weather, most homeowners in Northern Virginia look forward to taking care of those things outside of their Home. Yard work like landscaping and gardening in general are usually the first things that come to mind. Many people just cannot wait to start buying bags of mulch and get to digging up the shrubbery. However, if you think that your Home is need of an exterior cleaning and paint job, then it would be best to put off the landscaping, and take care of the important project first.

Painting a wrought iron fence provides essential protection for the metal while at the same time restores the original color. The fact of the matter is that everything including metal will break down over time. Metal railings that have become exposed due to paint failure will combine with oxygen to form corrosion otherwise known as rust.
