Hard for people to understand sometimes #thecamp and the rest of the projects from the Hyv etc. ..the entire infrastructure of Tu-Is and Hyv … And what a storycube is… Is huge and protean… So it is not simple for companies who have experience in one dimension in it / this to get their head around how it all works…. Or more how they can do it and stay in control of it. It is… & has been my job to deal with that. Soooo when you hear people saying s...

This is worthy of a repost. The self-check I do when a game dev or filmmaker comes to me and says she/he is doing a project that no one would let them do (why they would even be looking at being part of the Hyv). Not about first timers but artists who want to apply different skills to a different but familiar artisanship. Some thing I have challenged myself to do building these things hidden in our stable for the last 12 years. Making things cubic requires us to have people inherently taking bigger risks, bigger kinesis in narrative. Personally I think truly great films don't come as much from filmmakers (or game devs now) doing the same thing they built laurels and a "tribe" on, but challenging their own skills and perspective. Fly high not safe. Fly new, not familiar. Hard to do when scale gets involved. Some things I hope that in their new roles ... And their new stages of their lives ... My heroes like Ted Hope and Tim League don't lose.
I’m serious. Mad Max: Fury Road should not exist. It should never have gotten made. It certainly shouldn’t be as awesome as it is. And yet somehow, against all odds, this impossible cinematic masterpiece is in theaters right now, in defiance of reality itself.

VFX designers trying to figure out how this layering and interoperability needs to work. AR, VR, game & what we shot kind of interoperability. I have gotten everything transcoded to every format everyone said they had to have.. Got the color corrections done. Got the smoothing cleaned up. Prioritized what shots are prioritized by need for ux/ui (before lots of opinions get dropped into the mix on what cuts we "should" have used. Because everyone always has opinions but the layering & interoperability has to be first)... & these guys still have a big invention/innovate curve to make each portkey/wormhole/totemui seamless. #inventingcubic #hundredcooksinthekitchen

So much overlap with us/The Storycube Hyv right now.
The definitive oral history of ILM, the special effects powerhouse that revolutionized moviemaking and changed entertainment forever.

LOng complicated back and forth on how the only way to dislodge ISP power gates to the internet/film/tv... is a layered storycube... where data flows and reconnects thru varying pipes to reassemble in front of wherever viewer open the portal.  Storycubes/cubic media make that possibility happen.

HRC was here last Friday... a few of the others from the Repubs over the past 2 weeks. This is when my town becomes what seems like the center of the universe for 2 years. Every other neighbor is having a living room "meet the candidate" session
The former N.Y. governor adds a new dimension to the GOP field.

When you wake up this morning, remember why it's called Memorial Day Weekend. ...& throw some thanks out on that free air and space that somebody else gave everything to let you live in. (Pic : Balch Lake just after sunrise this morning).

Along the banks of Colcord...
..on a rainy sunrise in May...
There are carpets of stars waking and you can't help but think...
..they fell there when Winter storms dragged their skies down.
..and left them laying to be born in spring.
Starflowers

Stars -

How countlessly they congregate
O'er our tumultuous snow,
Which flows in shapes as tall as trees
When wintry winds do blow!-

As if with keenness for our fate,
Our faltering few steps on
To white rest, and a place of rest
Invisible at dawn,--

And yet with neither love nor hate,
Those stars like some snow-white
Minerva's snow-white marble eyes
Without the gift of sight.

Saw this review looking for his new addresss & had to write something... Dr. Mike-Mayer has been one of my doctors for 10years. Have to say don't know what that other review was about but it sounds odd. He's a great doc. Overwhelmingly professional. Crazy. I know fact was he was even picked by New Hampshire magazine as one of the 10 best family Docs in the state. Don't think stuff like that happens randomly? Best thing about him have to say (& I know a lot of friends/acquaintances who go to him ... It's a small town) is he listens and talks to you. Never just throws drugs at you or tries to turn you over in 5 minutes like so many Docs do now. (Although I know he was back and forth out of state when he took care of vets and their families coming back from overseas for a while. (In fact pretty sure he was at Ft.Hood when the attack happened there). Sad to see a good doc get a review like the one above. I have never heard anyone (& I've lived in this town a while) have anything but praise for Dr. Mike Mayer ... sounds odd to me. Tbh
