Shamelessy displaying my new jersey. Also great day for a ride, but I need better tires for this kind of surface :P
Well, at least it doesn't hurt when you go face first into the snow.

Video will follow, maybe later this week.

First time skiing. Nice workout, good food, great company. No major pain, but the knees are suffering. Artificial snow and 4°C aren't ideal, but it hasn't been an issue.

Well, I've managed today to finish the first Trails in the Sky, after a long as hell final boss. Actually two final bosses, and a couple hours and half to beat them, with a failed attempt. There's nothing I hate more than a long, endless boss battle.

In the end, with at least 55 hours on the clock, this is absolutely one of the most solid jrpgs I've played, in everything from the battle and skill mechanics, to the world and the characters, to the plot, the little humor parts, the attention to details.

I've got a strange problem with Optimus, that somehow decided that the game wasn't worth my 980m, disregarding what I set in the Nvidia control panel, so I've played almost half of it with the integrated Intel gpu. Not like there's been any problem, as it's still the same graphic engine of Ys VI, Origins and Oath in Felghana (2d sprites in a 3d environment), with a psp port. The visuals are really cute and colorful, and that's one of the main selling point of a lot of Falcom games for me.

The only two issues I've got with the game are the unintuitives menus and a little bug/glitch for which a NPC and trader wasn't rendered. While buying/sellings things was possible, talking with him gave no lines displayed.
But these issues are so minor I'm nitpicking just so I can have something not good to write. :)

Strangely the only thing I was somewhat disappointed in was the soundtrack. While almost every piece is right for the situation and environment in which is played, there's only a couple of them that are good and catchy, and that's subpar for Falcom, considering the Ys series has always had good, if not great, music scores.

Some last note about the characters; while they are somewhat generic anime stereotypes, the growth almost every playable character experience is really well written and compelling, albeit also a little stereotyped. But, as this is only the first part of what is actually a two-chapter game, the story is somewhat interrupted after the main ''problem'' is resolved and the culprit captured.
There are a couple question unrisolved, and a final revelation gave the cue to what is sadly another game, and one that I really need to get my hands on soon, but not after a break from turn-based rpgs.
