I've been here twice and each time I ordered a shake. Strawberry and salted caramel. Both times they tasted like vanilla and only like vanilla. Don't bother with the shake. I'm convinced that either the employees are doing it wrong or their shakes are just horrible and have no flavor beyond vanilla.

I really enjoy the sushi here. I love the concept of larger than normal sushi rolls. There is something about large food items or large quantities that I love. Buredo is no exception. My wife and I drove into DC just to eat here. We were incredibly excited to try their food after hearing so many good things from other people and from yelp. We weren't disappointed. I ordered the Beatrix, and my wife ordered the Hanzo. We both enjoy the fresh fish, and Buredo did not disappoint here. The fish was really good, soft and tender, and delicious. The cabbages and other vegetables that go into each sushirrito have really good flavors that complement the flavors. I have one small gripe, which is that I wish there was more table room for those who want to eat in. Unfortunately the restaurant is small, so that is not always possible. I would love to see Buredo expand their menu. Imagine if there are bigger size versions of your favorite sushi rolls. I would love to see a sushirrito filled with unagi. In the end, we really enjoyed the food here and would come again. Eat more sushirritos!

I have eaten at Firehouse Subs twice. Most recently was a couple of days ago on a Sunday afternoon in early March. My wife and I were hungry, and she was craving sandwiches. So we stopped here for a quick lunch. I ordered the steamer sub, which is basically a pastrami sandwich. My wife ordered a cheesesteak sandwich. I'll start off by saying that the food here is OK. Not great, not even good, but will do if hungry. My main complaint about my sandwich is that the pastrami was super thin and had very little flavor. The thinness reminded me of shaved ham slices. It definitely did not even come close to being a great sandwich or even a good sandwich. I feel similar about the cheesesteak sandwich as well. Although there was lots of meat, the sandwich lacked flavor. The cheese was flavorless and the steak was dry. We can tell that it was not freshly made. In the end, I think Firehouse Subs is just a more expensive subway. I'm not a fan of subway, but I think I would rather eat at subway. The subs at Firehouse subs were nothing special, and I do not recommend eating here unless you really need to.

I must have driven past this diner hundreds of times over the last 5 years. Almost every single time, I whisper to myself that I would try it one day. Well today was the day. I dragged one of my friends with me for breakfast to discuss life as we do every other week. One of the reasons why I finally decided to eat here is that I heard that 29 Diner was under new ownership and many issues with the previous iteration of this restaurant have been eliminated or improved. I can attest that not much was wrong with my visit today. First thing I noticed when I walked in was how small the diner is. There is plenty of counter seating and a few small tables. We were greeted by the staff and sat ourselves. We chose a table. It was a bit eclectic because of the various types of stools and chairs, but we were comfortable enough. One thing I would warn about is that the tables are really cramped, so bigger people may want to choose counter seating. The staff was super friendly and made sure we got our orders in and our coffee cups full. They were helpful in helping us decide what to order. I ordered the bacon egg burger with sausage gravy. It was amazing! It was incredibly juicy, flavorful, and filling. I would eat this again. The waitress told me afterwards that they have a similar but bigger burger that consists of a country fried steak during dinner. That is something that I will be looking forward to on my next visit. Overall, it was a very good experience. I would eat here again.

I think the food here is just average. This place has a great reputation for great Vietnamese food. When I came for lunch, I would not consider anything I had as delicious. I started off with a Vietnamese ice coffee. I was a bit surprised that the drink came without the dripping coffee filter into a glass of condensed milk. Not a big deal, but I expected this authentic Vietnamese restaurant to have that. The coffee was decent, but not as delicious as I have had it. For our meal, my party ordered a bowl of pho, combination pan fried noodle, and a dish of eggplant and pork with bean curd. All of these dishes were ok, but bland. The pho was not hot, nor was there much flavor in the broth. The flavor of the broth was incredibly light, unlike any pho broth I have ever had. The combination pan fried noodle was soggy and bland. I expected the noodles to be crispy, but only a few noodles were crispy, with much of the dish soggy. The sauce and the stir fried meat and vegetables had the right consistency but the flavor was not there, nor was it salty enough. The eggplant and pork with bean curd was bland as well. Again, good consistency, looks delicious, but did not taste delicious. I can barely taste the bean curd or the other flavors. The saving grace for this place was that the service was good. Our waitress was attentive. She even let us be after serving us water while we took forever with our menus. But once we put our menus down, she came over immediately. I appreciated that. Maybe it was an off day for Viet Royale, but I was not impressed by the food at all. I'm not sure I would come back unless someone else really wanted to eat here.

Since this place opened a while ago, I have been meaning to come here for a meal. I finally had a chance today. My wife and I tried to do lunch dates over other Friday, and I finally convinced her to eat here. First, I really enjoyed the decor and atmosphere. It is fun, the colors of the walls are pink or some other light pastel color. The employees are incredibly friendly, greeting us as we came in. Second, the menu is huge! So many things to choose from! I ran into a little bit of analysis paralysis with this menu, but that is a good thing. I rather have a lot to choose from instead of very little. Third, the table comes with free homemade tortilla chips and homemade salsa. They are both delicious! The salsa is slightly spicy and is made with fresh tomatoes, onions, jalapenos, and lime. It is a tangy flavor and incredibly refreshing to eat. the chips were thin and crispy, and warm if they had just taken it out of the fryer. Together, heaven. Our server ensured that the bowl of salsa is never empty for too long and the chips kept coming. I loved this because some places do not take care of their customers this way. Ultimately, I chose the Elvis Combo Plate for my meal, which includes a taco, several enchiladas, and a cheese dipped taco shell. I enjoyed it all! My only complaint would be that I wish the ground beef in my taco was a bit more flavorful, but I am not nitpicking. It was still a delicious taco. The enchiladas were great. This is a Tex Mex restaurant, and it is not ashamed of it. If you are looking for authentic mexican, this is not it. However, Tex Mex is another category of food that is amazingly done here. I would come again. I am so glad Chuys opened here. I'm coming back again soon!

Costco Gas has been one of the best things about being a Costco member. I really enjoy the competitive pricing of the gas while knowing that I'm getting a quality product. This is not like going to a smaller, "generic" brand gas station, which I feel uneasy about at times because I don't know much about the brand. I know a lot about the Kirkland brand, and I trust it. Be warned that there is almost always a line, but it's worth the wait. I typically fill up the gas tank first before heading into the warehouse to avoid frozen items from sitting around and thawing on me. The hoses are extra long so you can fill up on either side. The employees there are top notch. They will come over to help you if you need it. I have not had a bad experience at Costco Gas. Definitely worth getting gas here if you are a Costco member.
