MISSION: MAFtheNUI

#NIA OPS #NIAOPS #INGRESS

18 April, Lower Hutt, New Zealand : Situation Report

News amonst the local Resistance community had spread fast following a significant XM outbreak over the hills in Wainuiomata involving faulty Portals. Resistance Agents unamiously agreed that repairs needed to be swift and could only involve being held in place with a layered blanket of blue across a checkpoint.

Plans were desperately developed and refined as the volitility of the situation grew hour by hour. Resistance forces all over the region offered their assistance putting aside family and work commitments.

Last minute preparations involved a hand picked unit of [redacted] working through the night on the fringe of the target zone removing blockers and clearing lanes. One [redacted] with only 2 hours sleep was then urgently dispatched to secure the very important edge of the blanket – this would stop the threads from leaking.

With the blue blanket edge secure a group of hand picked resistance [redacted] were called up, assembled and briefed. Operation MAFtheNUI was activated. Following the briefing agents decended on the small and unsuspecting township of Wainuimmata under a cone of silence eagerly awaiting their launch signal from their Operator [redacted]. Desperate to give every agent an exit each was activated in a carefully and deliberately planned sequence.

A credit to every [redacted] involved – 18 layers of blue blanket were laid down – saving each portal from its green infestation. Afterwards delighted agents celebrated with tea, biscuits, and cake – very pleased to have saved more portals.

All credit to the team over 220,000 MU’s in the bank of the resistance.

Updates for iOS and Mac OS have been released for TrafficCamNZ

This simultaneous release is to address an issue with iCloud syncing - if you were using iCloud. There were a number of other fixes in the releases as well…

——
TrafficCamNZ for iOS
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/trafficcamnz/id299032226?ls=1&mt=8

1.9.4
In this version
● Updates to iCloud syncronisation between Mac OS and iOS. If you have upgraded to iOS 8 and had trouble Syncing changes between devices, make sure that you are using the same iCloud account across devices, that iCloud drive is ON - and that iCloud storage is enabled in the applications on both the Mac and iOS devices. If trouble persists - you may need to delete the application on your iOS devices and reinstall.

Previously... in version 1.9.3
● iOS 8 support
● Fixed some constraint/layout issues on the Camera Chooser screen
● Fixed some layout issues on the preferences screen for iPad
● Fixed a zooming issue when displaying images full screen
● Fixed a problem when showing preference screen - previously required a double tap on the preference button for first use
● Fixed a bug where the landscape view would not scroll properly until the device was rotated
● Fixed a bug loading the help
● Fixed a bug scrolling on the main view were the first and last images would bounce left and right when scrolled

● iCloud : if you are using iCloud to syncronise your camera data then the first run on iOS 8 may start up with the initialisation screen. Please wait a few minutes (suggest 2 to 5) to allow the iCloud TrafficCamNZ database to download and syncronise. The Refresh button will turn Red indicating that a refresh can be performed. This may happen a number of times as data is incrementally loaded - you will not have to press Refresh everytime.

● iCloud : If you upgrade iCloud you may be unable to syncronise TrafficCamNZ databases between iOS 8 and earlier versions of Mac OS i.e. Mavericks. For syncronisation to work properly your iDevice should be on iOS 8 and your mac should be on Yosemite.

New Zealand in Sunglint

New Zealand is seldom photographed from orbit because it is one of the cloudier parts of planet, and because crew sleep periods often occur when the ISS passes over the area. Read more at http://earthobservatory.nasa.gov/IOTD/view.php?id=85332&src=googleplus

Four sourdough loaves.

Actually this is the 80% biga recipe from the Ken Forkish book. And I've adjusted it it for sourdough.

I did the preferment yesterday (daytime) and last night the mixing and folds. Then into the banetons around midnight and in the fridge over night. This morning they were sequentially baked (one at a time in my oven) in a Dutch oven. 20 mins lid on. 15 minutes lid off.

#kiwiana #sourdough always a winner.

「魂の抜けたAXAシールド」

ちょうだいちょうだいたぁますぃちょうだい、おーけぃかもんれっつごぅ!

.....

か、完成です。

AXA SHIELD

Tartine loaves. Hard baking 40 mins each, 20 of which inside a Dutch oven. To 5 loaves take a long time to bake. And thus the uneven rise... Will do differently next time.
