I have a new skill!
Adding HOVER BOARD mechanic to my CV.
We got Grant a Hoverboard for for his 18th birthday. He's really good and using it, has great balance. I'm getting better... don't like going over bumps as such.
The board has had some good use by friends and family... many bumps and trips by learners...
Anyway the wheels started rubbing a bit when turning... so a bit of investigation was required as to why and what could be done about it. After removing the bottom cover and moving circuit board out of the way, you get to see where the wheels are mounted to the frame. By unscrewing the 4 x 6mm Allen key bolts... the wheel was able to be pulled out 3mm to 4mm and the whole thing put back together again (getting that cover back on took some giggling. Then the same change was repeated on the other side of the board.
This is the board and where we got it from.http://www.gearbest.com/scooters-and-wheels/pp_246403.html
