"Frozen’s Anna & Elsa Teaching Girls To “Let It Code” In A Global STEM Initiative" http://prsm.tc/x2xTRj
The goal: to get 100,000 kids worldwide learning how to code. The timeframe: one hour. The reason: because technology is the future of the world and the world is in the hands of the next generation, we might as well equip them early! Code.org is responsible for the largest education event in history called ‘Hour of Code’ which happened for the first time in 2013. Over 100 organizations took...

I know it annoys me ... you either are 'in' the meeting or you are not, and if you are not, why waste time being there physically if you are not participating!

Its like people driving or walking looking at their phones, what's more important, your email and social media, or your safety and that of the people around you.
You are annoying your boss and colleagues any time you take your phone out during meetings, says new research from USC's Marshall School of Business, and if you work with women and people over forty

We’ve all heard about Israel’s blockade of Gaza, but what does it actually mean? For many people it could mean no income, no chance of seeing family... and no means of escape.

That’s why we’re calling for a permanent lifting of the blockade, so the people of Gaza can travel, trade and live in dignity.

SHARE this if you agree the people of Gaza should be free.

Great New Yorker piece - "The Programmer’s Price" http://prsm.tc/YdAaN6
Not long ago, Stephen Bradley, a New York tech entrepreneur, was looking to expand his company, AuthorBee, which aggregates tweets and Instagram posts and puts them together in story form. Instead of following people, readers can follow their interests—“Breaking Bad,” for example, or the New England Patriots. Bradley is not a stereotypical startup founder, a hoodie-wearing college dropout; he’s...

I have celiac and all I can say is "well, duh!"  Once I got off gluten, my "brain fog" went away, my memory got better, and my feelings of depression lifted significantly.

Some scientists have linked gluten with neurological symptoms.

This place is really nice. You can count on all the food being organic and no GMO. I love the new annex too.

NOTE: They are no longer in business :( They closed up shop to spend time with their growing boys... ======== Nice murals on the wall, bright decor, breeze coming in through the open door, cozy tables with power and wifi, reasonably good coffee. What's not to like? There was a long line for sandwiches, so I am guessing they're good, although I can't eat them myself (gluten is not my friend).

I love this place. Simple, delicious South Indian food at great prices. Feels so good after having a meal here. You must try the Idli Sambar.

Fun local cafe in Oakland. Great paintings, lots of cozy seating, a bike rack! Chalkboards and chalk in the bathrooms, great people serving up the stuff. Wifi good, some plugs available (but not a lot). A hidden gem.

Wow, really delicious food. I just had an excellent huevos rancheros, delicious fresh beans, great salsa, nice soft corn tortillas. A real find, and not too crowded.
