Worked here from 1990-1997. Kind of sad to see it turned into something else, but I guess better than losing it entirely.

Well, it was a product of 1960ish design. Everything designed around then was pretty stark.

So Bandai's feb restock list is out and despite the high-profile release of a Thunderbolt episode 2 trailer featuring the Psycho Zaku, no reissue of the kit in sight... WTF?

No sense not reissuing the existing HG, its the only one of the Thunderbolt HGs that has not had either a recent reissue or existing stock to the rafters. Can't get it on amazon.co.jp or rakuten for less than double list price. (Basically the same situation that the Super Custom Zaku F2000 was in before the december reissue)

Passport renewal done in 7 days. As I remember last time it took 2 months.

Undoubtedly they just scan the documents instead of physically sending them to the us nowadays but that doesn't account for all of it.

Finally bit the bullet and sprung for Amazon Prime. The discount on regular nappie delivery will cover the cost.

Started work on my Graze Kai. All dark green parts primed, painted to brown and gloss coated. Not sure how well it will end up, didn't even hit 10C in Tokyo today.

+Boon Hoong Ooi I'm very attached to keyboards that have the kind of feel I like. It'll get used until something breaks.

Graze Kai concept recolor I'm thinking about. This is inspired by the MSV Tropical Test Type Dom, which was one of the first kits I ever built back in the '80s.

Decided so much white just wasn't working, so went to the shop and got a regular Graze today.

Added a few generic waterslides to the Revive Mk-II. Makes it look quite a bit better.

The lining is fairly non-contrasty, since I used grey.

I like these generic waterslides, they're japanese-made and cut, unlike dodgy samueldecal stuff where the clear portion extends all the way across the sheet.

First time I've actually seen this in stock in many years. With a baby on the way can't justify spending 300,000 yen on a lens though.

The one place to go in Tokyo for all things NFC.

Cannot recommend this place at all since the renewal. Nearly all the plastic model selection is gone, what's left has had the price raised and the whole store is aimed at mainland chinese tourists.

A good place to stay for a layover when your international flight gets in late with no provincial flights until the next day. Large rooms by local standards for reasonable prices. Close to the airport (P150-200 meter taxi or P330 coupon). Area is relatively sketchy, dark streets at night and surrounded by short-time motels.

Cheap and cheerful. Despite the name, the gyoza aren't actually that great
