Slaves being led along the four-kilometer Route des Esclaves between Ouidah, Benin, and the beach would be required to circle the Tree of Forgetting several times to erase their original cultures and make them submissive.

The Elara is the former PH Towers Westgate which featured in the 2012 movie The Queen of Versailles. Opened in 2009, the building had to be sold by timeshire mogul David Siegel two years later to save his company from bankruptcy.

Sadly, the skins of countless small animals are marketed to tourists in the old city of Khiva, Uzbekistan. There's no excuse for animal abuse.

Come an hour before sunset and stay until dark to see Vegas day and night from this excellent vantage point near the heart of The Strip. You`ll get an excellent view of the Fountains of Bellagio show with the sunset lighting up the mountains surrounding the city. It`s worth it if you`re not in a big hurry and are prepared to spend a little time up there. Maybe come toward the end of your stay so you`ll have a better idea what you`re seeing. Enjoy!

Hotel Asia Khiva is conveniently located just outside the South Gate to the old city. I found the food and accommodations excellent.
