I'll be heading downtown to see this talk in person, but here's the online link.
Join our packed house at Decentral in Toronto for a special Ethereum Meetup, featuring Vitalik Buterin speaking at 7PM Eastern, Jeff Coleman to speak about Kryptokit's new Ethereum Wallet at 7:45 PM, Joe Krug from Augur at 8 PM, and Joseph Lubin from Consensys at 8:30 PM.

I guess it isn't surprising that the Internet of Things leads to more and more things to throw away... Any chance there could be a "Come and collect all this packaging for recycling" Dash Button, +Amazon.com ? (Maybe something you could work on,  +Michael Zuliani ?!)

Haven't we moved beyond specs with these flagship devices? What about the important stuff that actually makes  difference day in and day out?

I love my S5 - water proof enough that I don't have to worry, and having a second battery so I can go from low charge to 100% in 45 seconds, anywhere. Real people don't care about 4MP vs 5MP a day or so after they get their latest and greatest phone.

How many times will you watch it, trying to get your mind to see what you know it really is...

Hi Oliver and the rest of the class, I thought I’d introduce myself. I’m David Sky - I work in software development at IBM in Toronto (but I don’t speak for them). I have an undergrad degree in AI from the University of Toronto (back in the 90’s!). I was really impressed with the Stanford Machine Learning MOOC that I completed back in 2011.

I’m looking forward to learning more about Developmental AI in the #idealmooc  - not so much for physical-world applications, but to understand how they could be used in software situations. When I try to come up with an example of what I mean it often seems like a traditional machine learning algorithm would work well in the example, so I’ve got a lot to learn about the strengths of Developmental AI, apparently.

I may be the last person on Georgian Bay with a windsurfer... the wind is perfect for it today. Thanks +Kelly Hayward for loaning me the board.
