Having the opportunity to share my journey with lupus is one of the most liberating experiences of my life. Read this article for more information.

I recently wrote this article for the Rotary Voices blog in which I talk about one of Rotary's biggest problems. This is especially relevant for my Rotary International and Rotaract friends, but I think it applies to any organization and any endeavor: If you want people to follow you, let them have fun!
By David Postic, a member of the Rotaract and Interact Committee and a past president of the Rotaract Club of Norman, Oklahoma, USA We all know and love The Four-Way Test. In many ways, it’s an imp...

This continues the documentation of my journey through life with lupus. Please take a moment to read and share to spread awareness.
For anyone struggling with disease or illness (mental or physical), one of the worst side effects is pity. Pity from others, sure. Largely that is why I was initially afraid to tell people I had lu...

If you want to understand what it is like to live with lupus, this would probably be the one post I would recommend reading.
Pain. This is a particularly difficult subject to talk about because I think it's the most difficult part to understand about lupus. But since I am trying through this blog to get you into the mind...

In this blog post, I call us all liars. Please don't hate me.
We are at a low point in American politics. That's a pretty vague statement, so judge it how you will. It's just my opinion. What is a fact, though, is that Congress is at a low point. Something li...

Read my take on Thirty Eight Minutes over today's Supreme Court opinion on gay marriage. Hopefully it can help explain some of the legal analysis, and hopefully you can now go about your Facebook discussions with a tad bit more knowledge. And for those who disapprove of this decision, I want to remind you of this: You can disapprove of the Court’s decision but still be happy for the millions of people who are today reveling in love. You can oppose the law without opposing the people affected by the law. You can fight for change without fighting one another. That is the difference between opposition and prejudice. And that is how we can make sure that love really does win.
Not every day do the worlds of law and pop culture collide so tremendously as they did today. Then again, not every day do you have Supreme Court decisions like Obergefell v. Hodges. Undoubt...

I saw this ten-year-old speak in São Paulo and was absolutely blown away. This is a perfect example what you can achieve if you share enough love with the world.
At the Rotary Convention in São Paulo, Brazil, ten-year-old Bella Field told a story of tragedy and inspiration.

This past week I had the pleasure of attending the 106th Rotary International Convention in São Paulo, Brazil. Aside from spending a week with incredible leaders from around the world, I got to take a moment to hang out with dear friends and Past President and First Lady of Rotary, Ron and Jetta Burton. It is amazing how much good we can achieve in the world when we work together.

Warning: this article contains more than a small amount of sarcasm.
Teachers are the worst.   Teachers don't have that hard of a job.  They basically just babysit kids for seven hours a day. Anyone could do that. Never mind that, if we paid them like ba...
