What do people in the UK think about public relations?

I have been doing some research using semantic analysis of internet use:

37% of people who have an interest in Public Relations associate it with media relations.

Today, the semantic concepts that people in the UK associate with public relations are:

jobs company consulting london definition media marketing business internships

There is an 74:1 ratio for media relations v social media in search engine search terms and content of viewed pages and internships are popularly associated with PR.

I guess this kind of research could inform the Waddington/Earl perspectives in their new book:
