Is it possible for Wkimedia (the people who manage Wikipedia) to investigate their governance in camera?

It looks like it is. Investigations are going forward in secret.

Does this not undermine the very essence of what people in PR know about Wikipedia?

It smells of publicity agent's bigged up wiki entries and such bad practice.

One rule for the public and another for Wikimedians?
